years until last December and a debt-free champion as chairman of the council's finance committee. He was a sheet metal specialist with Williams & Co. Inc. for 17 years, a member of the First Lutheran Church of Pittsburgh; past master of Noth Hill
Lodge No. 716 F&AM; member of Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple, NACO Caravan No. 19, Islam Grotto, the Association of Masonic Veterans and Pittsburgh Visitation Club. He was a director of the Commodore Perry Square Corp. Surviving

According to Harold Sarver, Jr., his mother decided to become a nurse after watching her two brothers, Charles and Laurence, and her mother, die in the flu epidemic during the early 1900's.
Margaret Sarver, who was a nurse at Allegheny General Hospital fro 1930 to 1966, died of heart failure Sunday in Allegheny General. She was 85.
Mrs. Sarver, of Ross, was a graduate of the Allegheny General Hospital Nursing School. She was a past president of the Old Times Association of Allegheny County.
She was a member of North Area American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 1376, the Allegheny General Nurses Alumni and St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ross, where she was a past member of the senior citizens group and ladies auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, Harold P.; a son, HaroldP. Jr. of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
