Quite a long time since my last post ...no excuses, I just havn't been working. Started painting again about 6 weeks ago, a series of froces beyond my control have pushed me back in this direction. Who said that things don't happen for a reason!
I have finished off the bull painting, lightened the background to push it away, lightened the far ear to give depth, added some blues and greens to the bulls fur to tie it in with it's surroundings, tried to not make the outlines so sharp and severe (after all in life when we look at something we don't always see all of it in focus) The whole thing is still far from perfect BUT it is much improved on. I wont do anymore to this one, it's beena learning experience but now it's time to move onto the next.
I have also done a couple of abstrcts and a contemporary portrait and am now working on another contemporary portrait and a horse (this one is very challenging but I have learn't soooo much about painting from doing it) Am also finding it beneficial to work on two paintings at the same time so as the glazes are drying on one I can turn the chair around and work on another ...helps to keep my concentration too as I'm not getting bored.
It's all good ...I am loving working again!
