| Award winning and internationally published poet and writer, Rebecca Cuevas De Caissie, was born and raised in sultry South Florida. Her multi-cultural heritage and upbringing make this Southern Belle a true romantic at heart. Since the young age of thirteen years old, Rebecca has been spinning gossamer webs of dreams and passion enjoyed at home as well as internationally. Her travels have taken her all over the continent. She now resides, torn between her warm Love of the South and the cooling peace she finds in the sister cities of the North. Devided, as the land is with one half of her heart on each side of the border. |
| From an early age we learn to feel, love and laugh. As years go by we lose the spark of joy the innocence of childhood gifted us with. Our eyes behold events that taint our dreams and clip our wings of passion with which we at first embraced all that life had to offer. As we rush through life in pursuit of fleeting possessions, we often exchange what is more valuable for what is more temporal. We forget how to love or loose the brevity that loving requires. We forget the dream. We forget ourselves. Out of the ashes of modern times emerges a poet like few others. A true romantic, infused with passion add dreams so desperate to touch and feel that these words are her way to touch you.
