Conference 2007
What an honor and priviledge it was to travel to Lynchberg, Virginia to speak to educators from the U.S. and Europe about the importance of Opera in education, especially in the education
of special needs children.

In our talk my mother Robin Fromherz, PhD and I explored the organic nature of opera, its history and origins, and even, within 25 minutes, composed and performed an original opera with top-notch educator participants as its librettists, composers, directors, and ultimately, SINGERS!

Many questions were generated, and answered, as to how opera can be brought in to the classroom.
How exciting this was to see!!

The highlight of the Conference 2007 for me was the evening concert, which I had been invited as featured entertainment to perform.  Through Puccini arias I hope and believe (based on audience reaction) that Opera reached the the ears and hearts of the attendees and inspired them to not only use opera more in their classrooms, but to learn about it and appreciate it more themselves.

Thank you P. Buckley Moss, and thanks to your Foundation for the wonderful work you do and for the opportunities you produce for Arts in Education!
