Our Japanese Apartment |
Our apartment is located in the Chuo Ward (neighborhood) of Fukuoka. We live on the 9th floor of a modern apartment building. There are 3 to 4 bedrooms (but really only 2 for all practical purposes!), one bathroom, one toilet, and a joined dining room/kitchen. For additional photos of our apartment, please visit our Yahoo Photo Album. |

The arrival of our furniture!!! Our belongings were shipped from Pittsburgh to Kobe and then were packed (very efficiently) into this truck. The truck arrived about 3 weeks after us. |

Our Tatami room. It is adjacent to the dining room. We use it as a sitting room/computer room/TV room. (It can also be used as a bedroom) |

The movers were required to pad our entire lobby before they could move our furniture upstairs. |

Our kitchen (before the shelves and dishes arrived). The bar-height counter behind the sink is between the kitchen and dining area. |

Our new computer set-up in the Tatami room. Yay! for DSL connection at home so that we can stay in touch with all of our German and American friends and family. |
