The Wonderful World of Reba
I can't really start off with the paragraph I used to start this page off with, it claimed that I was new at building home pages and would probably be terrible at it... that was about 3 years ago... the only thing that has really changed is the time frame, because I have still not been able to conquer the whole webpage builing idea, but I thought I would give a little update on my life...

I was still born on July 6th of 1985, I still have the same family members that I used to, and sadly enough, I still live at home with them. I would love to move away, but my first car was getting pretty bad, it was time for me to get a new one (I know, what does this have to do with moving out, right?) WELL, Little Miss Smarty has been (successfully) trying to stay away from credit cards, I know what they can do to people, and I did not want to be in that boat. Since I don't have credit cards, I also do not have any credit... the only way I could get my father to cosign with me was to agree to stay home until his name was off the lease because he was afraid a new car and an apartment would be too much for me... (I make over a thousand a month, but ooookay). So yes, I still live at home.

And yes, I do have a new(er used) car. A 2003 Chevy Malibu... only 9 years newer than the last one (But still a Chevy!) Paid less than $10,000 for it, and it only had 16,000 miles... not a bad deal.

As most of you know, I encountered the blacksheep of the family last summer... Our blacksheep is not a person. No, it is cancer. All of my Grandparent's have had it, and the only cousin that I had close to my age died of leukemia when he was 2. I had a spot of malignant melanoma on my left shoulder. Yes, it did only end up being a spot. After the month-long ordeal, the final verdict was that it had not spread. A lot of worrying over nothing, but I know a lot of prayers went into it too. It has given me a whole new perspective on life.

Also last summer, I made my first trip to a major sporting event. I attended the Father's Day NASCAR race... Did not get to meet my favorite driver, Kasey Kahne, but I got an autograph from his brother, Kale, and had a slight moment with Kasey. Slight as in he will never remember it (just a another fan sitting in the seats that he happened to make a gesture to), but to a girl at the beginning of her cancer struggle, it was awesome. Something I will never forget.

Another first occurred last weekend... I went to my first ever Birthday Bash... or any concert other than Christian ones for that matter. Another awesome event made fun by awesome people. For more info, visit my livejournal, which I will be updating after this.

In other news...

21st birthday is quickly approaching... seems scary, doesn't it? I have had several people at the Hospital say it doesn't seem possible, it seems like just yesterday I was starting off here, a girl at the ripe age of 16. Big things planned.

Ah yes, must discuss the man situation... Not currently dating anybody, have not technically been in a relationship since I dated John over a year ago, and for the first time, I am accepting this. I deserve better than the guys I have hung out with this year, and I will not settle for less. So unless a cowboy comes along that has more objectives than just having sex, I plan on staying single for a while.

In health related matters... 12 month cancer recheck is coming up next month. Kind of nervous about that... Finally ditched the sunglasses and got contacts... and I am on a weight kick. I want a guy that takes care of himself, the least I could do is return the favor...

And I think I have officially bored you enough for one webpage. If you are bored yet, take a look at my other links... but don't hold me responsible for my myspace page. It has been a while since I have had a decent enough amount of time to fix that. Have a great day, and thanks for checking in. Don't be a stranger, check back often. You never know when I will be bored enough to update...
