Biography
Rebecca, 17, currently studies BTEC ND PA majoring in Drama. She has performed in many shows and over the last 2 and a half years has transformed herself from a nervous stage fritten wreck to winning roles  in highly esteemed productions - 2002 Plague of Innocence, 2003 Jesus Christ Superstar - both staged on the Leicester Haymarket Theatre's main stage.

Rebecca began her journey within the theatre after agreeing to help in Front of House for a college production of
Grease (she couldn't buy a ticket. They were sell out audiences so she saw the show another way). She loved it and participated in the next; Cabaret!

She then joined BTEC and her confidence soured. She joined the Peacock youth theatre in March 2002 and enjoyed her first community work within Leicester. This led to her auditioning for
Plague of Innocence, a professional show written by Noel Greg. Less than a quarter of the hopeful Leicester City youths made it. This was an experience she will never easily forget and an opportunity that she is grateful to have recieved.

During the 2 week run she learnt of LAOS (Leicester Amateur Operatic Society) and successfully auditioned to became part of their already highly selective group. She looks forward to performing
Jesus Christ Superstar at the Haymarket in June.

Alongside this performing, however, Rebecca has a passion for "page to stage" and at age 17 has gained the credits of Assistant Director of the musical
Guys and Dolls and director of the highly controversial play Junk by Melvin Burgess assisted by Adel Al Solloum, the associate director at the Haymarket.

After BTEC she has been accepted at Lancaster University, Grimsby College to study BA(Hons) Digital Media Production : TV, Film and Video and hopes in years to come be doing what she has dreamed about since she was 13, working on a buzzingly busy film set!
