My friend, Farz, her brother, Abbas, and I went up to Canada from DC during the 2002 Memorial weekend where their hearing brothers live. I helped drive a big, , 4-door Nisson pick-up truck loaded with boxes while Abbas slept for a couple of hours. Then he took over the driving for the rest of the way. We dropped Farz off with her brothers, Moe and Hosien, in Buffalo, NY to see if she can get a visa from the Canadian . Then Abbas took me to see Niagara Falls, where my parents had their back in the 60's. We it too, sleeping in the truck about 40 miles outside Toronto for several hours by a Tim Horton's 24-hour coffee shop. We moved Farz's boxes into Moe's apartment in Toronto, up, and took the rest of the boxes to the Greyhound bus station for shipment to Calgary. Then we went to the airport and ate at the Swiss Chalet restaurant while waiting for his flight to Calgary. We bid to each other and I started back for DC in the truck alone. I stopped by NTID for the first time, but there was nobody around. I was enjoying the drive back because I had gotten used to the truck, but I was too tired to keep going. So I slept in the truck again for 3 hours at a 24-hour gas station where 15 ended. When I arrived back in DC, I dropped off the truck at Dulles aiport at 11 am and took the Washingon Flyer bus and the metro back home, all awhile off. I finally made it home and slept the afternoon away. I only had 5 hours of sleep during the 3 day trip. Farz finally got a visa with the help of her two brothers and was able to enter Canada. Abbas moved into the new house that his wife bought in Calgary.
