| A Brief Biograpghy of Me! | ||||||
| I was born in 1980, in Winchester, Virginia. I have lived in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia all my life*. Except the one month I spent residing in the world's greatest city Baltimore Maryland, and my six months living on Winchester (Main) Street in Paw Paw, WV. I attended school in Berkeley Springs and went to North Berkeley Elementary, Widmyer Elementary and Berkeley Springs Junior/Senior High School. At BSHS I was very active in Sports (Cross Country and Track) I earned such honors as team captain, All-Potomac Valley Conference, team unsung hero, and lettered atleast four times in either sport. I was a manager for the Girls Varsity Basketball team my senior year. I was also envolved with journalism. I was on the yearbook and newspaper staff. I was sports editor for both and Co-Editor-in-Chief for the newspaper. I was my school represenitive at the Hugh O'Bren Youth Leadership Conference. I atteneded American Legion Boys State, and went to Hi-Y leadership camp. I was twice named to the Who's Who of American High School Students. On May 19, 2002 I graduated from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. I participated in Varsity Cross Country and lettered three years. I was on the Talon newspaper staff and served as writer, photograher, did layout and design, and was Sports and Co-Editor. I was also a Resident Assistant and a member of the college's Honor Council for three years. My senior year I was Student Intramural co-ordinator, and helped manange,and plan intramural athletic events. I am also an American Civil War reenactor. I have been reenacting for seven years. I am currently a Confederate Captain commading my own unit (with the help of my friends and family) the 5th Regiment Virginia Volunteer Infantry Company K. We're in our 7th season of exisitance. I began my career with the 47th Va. Inf. Co. B. I rose through the ranks of the unit quickly but mainly because all the other qaulifed people went to other units. Three years ago I was acting Lt. when the unit came crashing to it's firy demise. At that point I began my own unit with the remaining members of the 47th, and a batch of new recruits; that's where we are today. The 2002 -2003 school year I was employed as the high school special ed. teacher at Paw Paw School in Paw Paw, WV. I also taught several regular education classes, which included Junior English, Science 10, and Driver Education. At Paw Paw I was also involved in Athletics as the Jr. High, J.V. and Asstistant Varsity boys basketball coach. I was also the Asstistant Baseball coach at PPHS. As a Head Basketball coach we won only one game all year at either the JV or Junior high level. But boy was the win sweet as we defeated Berkeley Springs in JV by 25 points. Also, I met the love of my life at work, Christen (My now wife). She is the greatest woman ever, and I love her with the depths of my soul. She has a 7 year old son Chuckie who's cute as all get out and I love him about as much as I love his mom. Chuckie is now calling me Dad and I'm calling him son, because thats what we are. We were married Sept 4, 2004 at Ambrose Chapel Church. Hunter Mathias Ambrose was born December 15, 2004 at Martinsburg City Hospital at 2:02pm he was 8 pounds 4.5 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is so cute looks just like his daddy! He was named Hunter to honor some of Christens family and Mathias for several of my ancestors. I am now employed at Timber Ridge School in Winchester, Virginia. I work with troubled boys as as case manager in the Spruce Unit. I take the kids on activities, and work with them residentially. Well that's enough about me, and as one can tell I've done much, enjoyed many, and had a pretty good time over-all. |
