om författaren: Rev. Mona West recieved a Ph.D. in Old Testament studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1987. She taught biblical studies at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and at Anderson College in Anderson, South Carolina, and she was academic dean at Samaritan Institute of Religious Studies. Her most recent publications include "Ruth", "Song of Songs", and "Lamentations" in the Mercer Commentary on the Bible (Mercer, 1995), "The Book of Ruth: An Example of Procreative Strategies for Queers" in Our Families, Our Values: Snapshots of Queer Kinship (Harrington Park Press, 1997) and "Reading the Bible as Queer Americans". She is Pastor of Spiritual Life at the Cathedral of Hope, the largest gay and lesbian church in the world.
