Bodega Bay, Sonoma County: Campbell Cove.
Carmet, Sonoma County: Schoolhouse Beach.
Fort Ross, Sonoma County: The crew originally intended to actually film at the Fort Ross beach, and even built a bridge over the creek to bring in equipment, but instead pulled out since the waves were too choppy. They did, though, use Kolmer Cove which is just north of Fort Ross.
Marshall, Marin County: Nick's Cove.
Jenner, Sonoma County: Meyers Grade and Timber Cove Roads, north of Jenner.
Opening Credits: The opening credits were over a sunset flyby north on the Pacific Coast of Sonoma County.
David Egan on the clifftop: This was possibly just off of Highway One, south of Fort Ross.
The four friends on the beach: This is Schoolhouse Beach on Highway 1, just south of Goat Rock and Jenner.
The four friends getting in the car and the accident scene: This was filmed on Highway One/Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Fort Ross.
Dumping the body: This was probably shot at Nick's Cove in Marshall.
Julie drives back to Southport: This is possibly Highway 1 at Kolmer Gulch, just south of the Fort Ross Store.
