Fullmetal Alchemist
Correcting mistakes isn't always easy . . .
Short Blurb: Ed should take heart--I'm as short as he is! Al is SO SWEET!! I need to borrow Mustang's gloves--I have things (and people) I'd like to set fire to. Hughes makes me laugh. People, it happened: I saw this show in the original Japanese with subtitles. So I'm not so much of a lame dubbie any more. The story is deep with just the right amount of exaggerations (like Trigun) and the ending . . . Well, I won't spoil it here for those of you stuck watching it on Adult Swim or whatever. Just don't give up on it FUNimation didn't butcher it (except for Envy's voice).
Disclaimer: Folks, if I could draw like that or had the money to have one of my ideas animated, I would definitely let you know
Pictures taken from
HAGANE NO RENKINJUTSUSHI (that basically translates to 'Fullmetal Alchemist', for anyone who may be curious to know)
Claimer: Kei Hoshimaru, her State Alchemist title, her brother, her horse, and her family are mine.
Vicky, Catherine, Catherine's parents, Adolf, Soo, Katie, and Devon are also mine.
Eden and Althea, too.

Warnings: Probably itsy-bitsy SPOILERS!!, some language, violence, one-sided crush (read: no romance--gaspity gasp gasp! Could I really have written this?!), familial betrayal, discussion of forced incest that never actually happened, psychosis, character death (not a canon character), mutation, animal cruelty

Soul Eater Duology

When Angels Deserve To Die

You can thank my little sister for this--it's a collaboration. She harassed me and I wrote it. We bounced ideas off one another and this is what resulted. It's not particularly different from my other writings, but I wanted to give my sister credit for forcing me to do this. That way I can't be wholly blamed. Anyway, on to the summary . . .
It's time for inspections and all personnel who are not under a priority deployment are to report to their commanding officers to be assessed by an inspector. Ed and Al arrive a few days later than the elder had been told to and meet up with the incoming inspector; a young woman from a rich family who owns a horse with automail legs and hooves and refers to Mustang as her teacher even though she ranks above him. Despite her apparent credentials, she is an average alchemist. What is it about her that made the military take such an interest in her?

Cross-Country

Ed and Al are at the farthest outskirts of the country when they come upon a painful sight; people paying money to poke at a muzzled, caged beast with sticks. After a confrontation with the owner of the 'Freak Festival' caravan, they release the abused beast--who they have realized is a friend known as Ammut--and decide to take it back to Mustang, who is the only one capable of fixing the problem. However, even muzzled Ammut is too dangerous to take on a truck or the train and this leaves travelling on foot, half way across the country, as the only option.

This ends the Soul Eater Duology. A little factoid for those of you who may not understand the connection between the stories and the title of the duology: In ancient Egyptian mythology, 'Ammut' was a god with the head of a crocodile, the foresection of a lion and the rear end of a hippo. Makes for an awkward animal, yes, but Ammut was feared by the Egyptians because it was present during the weighing of the soul, where the heart of the recently deceased is weighed against a feather. If the heart weighed less than the feather, then the soul had done good things in life and as a reward was allowed to continue on into the afterlife. If the heart weighed more than the feather, the soul had done a lot of bad things and did not deserve to continue. If this was the case, Ammut devoured the soul in question as punishment, thus erasing the soul entirely from existence.
In a way Ammut the chimera did the same thing, only by taking the power of alchemy rather than the soul. That and its natural violence against people. I hope that cleared things up for some of you. ^_~

Countdown To Terminus Trilogy

Timeshot

(Major spoilers for final episode) Ed has never been one to deliberate too thoroughly before acting. That was how he ended up in a world that didn't belong to him; a world that knew nothing of what he knew so well. So he left it the instant he could. His efforts gained him more than what he had initially started with, but less than what he desired. With new--and better--technology at his disposal and no one around him to get in the way, he delved into researching a way home. Along the way, he found a new and different, if temporary, home to take comfort in.

Timeshock

With no thanks to the Elric brothers, Mustang finds himself in a world utterly unlike his own. No one speaks his language--nor does he speak theirs--the currency is completely different, and it appears he's been thrown roughly a century into the future. Worse than that, it's raining, which renders his main offensive and defensive capabilites useless. Luckily, he's not left alone for too long, which will certainly keep him out of the worst troubles, and the young woman who takes him in is kind--and patient--enough to teach him. He's in for a surprise when she takes him home. (Major spoilers for final episode)

Timesweep

He'd thought it was over. He would go back to his true home, take along everything he thought he might need, and say good-bye to the place he had been living for the past thirty-five years. Not a big deal. Except that he didn't take into account heartsickness and the fact that one thing he had left behind possessed a talent he had not given much thought to. You're supposed to clean up after yourself when you leave and tie off all the loose ends, not allow a mess to grow.

So ends the Countdown To Terminus Trilogy.

Crossover

They're not really being accused of anything, but for the past few months people have claimed they saw both Ed and Al in places where the brothers know they wasn't. They can back up their claims--they've been confined to Eastern Command for so long that it's a wonder they can even remember what color the sky is, let alone recall how to acquire train tickets to somewhere. Mustang is listening, but doesn't care--he says it's an Elric Brothers fanclub. Ed's sure he's joking, but finds himself more inclined to think someone is using his identity for something beyond idol worship.
