Zone of the Enders By Alan
The future. A war is being fought in a space colony on the far side of the solar system. Thousands of innocents have lost their lives. One day, Leo Stenbuck is desperately looking for safety as some warrior mechs do battle right in front of him. He hides in an abandoned warehouse and stumbles into Jehuty, which is revealed to be the cause of the war. Jehuty is a colossal war machine that hold the key to civilizations existence.
The Pros
The Speed
Zone of the Enders is fast-paced game, which I think is more fun. I like games with robot fighters but games like Armored Core and MechWarrior, are too slow for me. I prefer the quick pace with tons of action, which ZOE has a lot of. Though this tends to lead to a lot of button mashing, it really makes the game that much more enjoyable.
The Action
As mentioned before, this game has loads of action. You, as your Jehuty unit, have access to a massive arsenal, ranging from plasma guns, lasers, pulse cannons, swords, you name it. Whats also cool in ZOE are the susceptible environments during battles. One you engage your enemy in battle, which is in real-time, any shots that miss your opponent or that you dodge, can destroy buildings and structures. Although, youre supposed to try and save these buildings, it just looks cool when dodge an opponents attack, which misses and obliterates the building behind you. |
