| The Cons The Graphics (again?) Although, Kessen has some of the best looking FMVs, the actual gameplay is rather weak. The battle field looks very much like it came from one of the 16-bit systems from the good-old days. This just brings the game down, because this is the screen youre looking at for the majority of the game. Everything else in the game looks very well-done, but it seems like the developers spent no time at all designing this aspect of the game. And it makes no sense to me how the graphics can jump from great to ugly. The Objectives The part I didnt like about the objectives is simply that there are none!! Every battle you fight is just to wipe out your enemy, which tends to get a little boring after a few battles. There is a storyline within the game, but none of it is really incorporated into the battles. In The End Kessen is good game, and is worth a look for those of you that are into the war/strategy games. Its no Command & Conquer, but its one a decent one, at least for a PS2 game. Had the developers put a little more effort into the gameplay graphics, this would have been a great game. Kessen gets a 7.9 |
