| JSRF (Jet Set Radio Future) By: Billy Concept Lead a posse of street-smart skaters through multiple adventures as you reclaim your turf from rival crews, combat corporate goon squads, and attempt to save the soul of the city. Overview JSRF is a cel-shaded adventure game that is actually part-2 of a series, Jet Set Radio. Reclaiming your turf by tagging the walls and/or covering other rivals markings is better done in the game, than in real life. PROS The graphics are cel-shaded, but, very detailed and very well done for being done in this manner. The music is hip and (pardon MY expression) dope. I was impressed with the music throughout the game. The multi-player (4) is a great added feature. Playing with buddies is always great. Interactive environments make for great graphics and great crashes. The game is updated compared to the original. In this edition, you are actually able to fight with rivals instead of just crashing into them. The designs (tags) are more detailed and elaborate, making the game more fun just by doing so. The learning curve is very easy, and there is no time limit with in the game. CONS The two noticeable features in the game that I noticed, that I think could have used more work on, is the camera angles and a option to help with the difficulty. There were times when I felt dizzy due the camera angles switching views. The difficulty, just as the first one, can be bothersome and frustrating, but I guess that goes for almost every game made. Overall JSRF is a good game. Not great. Just good. Though the graphic and the music are dope, I didnt keep my attention too long. Its not really for me, but it is a good game. My score: 7.5 |
