Overview

Take Aliens and blend that with the short lived movie Star-Ship Troopers, and you have a top notch, original, sci-fi FPS (First Person Shooter) game.  As futuristic Marines, you are overtaken by alien creatures breaching the hull of your ship (reminiscence of Star Wars), you are faced to fight your way off the doomed ship and to a safer area.  Once you have landed on a planet containing the resources of water, vegetation, oxygen and living beings, Earth?, you are then faced to regroup with other Marines that may have also escaped and/or save them from the alien creatures hunting them.  Help your fellow soldiers? Or fend for yourself? Rid the planet of these alien beings, which by far, negates all rules of the peace treaty signed in 1976 and bends the barriers of the human race as we now know as,huh? (sorry, got out of hand).

PROS

Using the Xboxs capability, Halos in-game fluidity and graphical achievements make this game a must buy!  The smoothness that is achieved in the game makes for a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat, stand-out game.  Player rendered graphics are amazing.  You can see the details in every character, friendly and alien.  Not being a FPS fan, I was very impressed with the fact that this was one of the games that did NOT give me a migraine after 10 minutes of play.  Seeing the other Marines fend for themselves was a definite plus for me in this game.  I cant stand friendly AIs just standing there, getting killed, FIGHT DANG IT!  The two player [split-screen] CO-OP feature was a great feature to throw in.  So, you can play the entire game with the help of a buddy, like Konamis Contra (NES), way cool.  The games realism worked rather well also.  Weapons that over-heated, needed to be cooled-down, or picking up weapons dropped from [dead] fellow Marines or waxed aliens.  The sound effects of the game are SWEEEET!  Play the game using stereo surround sound, and turn up the bass a little.  The sounds of the weapons firing,.ooooooohhhhh,.yeahhhhhh,.BRING IT ON,
