| Fatal Frame | |||||||||||||||||||||
| The Cons The Controls The character control is really bad. Its very difficult to move around fluently and quickly. There is no turn around feature, which makes it difficult when eluding enemies. The run feature is horrid compared to other game. It looks more like a sort of half-skipping and its not even fast, making it very easy to get damaged. The Combat The combat system in this game is a little corny. Supposedly, you have a magical camera that can capture ghosts. So, theres no shotguns, no knives, and no grenades of any sort. All you are armed with is camera and special types of film that get stronger as you progress through the game. What makes it even worse is that you must switch to first person view to take pictures, making it hard when battling fast ghosts, that can pass through walls. It just adds a lot of frustration to the game overall. In The End Definitely one of the scariest games I have played and I totally recommend taking a look at it. But I feel that the negative aspects outweigh the positive ones. Which is really too bad, because this game has a lot of potential. I would have liked an improved fighting system, but without it only comes a lot of frustration. I hate to say it, but Fatal Frame is ok, when it easily could have been great. I give it a 7. |
