Medal Of Honor: Frontline By Alan
The popular series from the PSOne finally hits the PS2. MOH isn't just another first person shooter with a silly plot. This is the real SHIZNIT!! Even though I am one who does not typically favor first person shooters, MOH really amazed me. You are James Patterson, a US soldier during World War II, and your must complete the missions you are assigned by your superiors. With based-on-true events, Frontline is truly the best out of the series.
The Pros
The Missions
One of the features I liked best about MOH was the variety of objectives needed to complete the mission. Each mission required you to do something different rather than killing all the bad guys or just finding a key to some locked door. These objectives vary from disguising yourself as a German officer, to hijacking Nazi planes, to storming the beaches of Normandy. Its features such as these that separates MOH from other first person shooters.
The Story
As mentioned before, MOH is based on true events. James Patterson was 24 years old when his plane was shot down in Normandy on June 5, 1944. With only a limited amount of weapons and crew members, James Patterson led the way towards the coast, taking out a few Wehrmacht checkpoints along the way. In the game, the story moves very fluently and although a bit difficult to understand at times, keeps the gamer hooked. |
