| CONS There are a couple of draw backs that I noticed while playing the game. There will be three (3) levels that will frustrate the crap out of you. These level, I feel, could have been left out. But, due to the games story, I understand way they left it in. Another draw back I noticed, was the fact that there were no FMVs (full motion videos). Max Payne unfolded as if you were being read to. Still pictures would be on the screen, accompanied with captions. And you, Max Payne, would narrate. I would liked to have seen a little FMV somewhere (and NO, the ending 3 seconds BEFORE the ENDING narration does not count). The replay value is mediocre. Eventually, you MIGHT play it again,MIGHT. CLOSING STATEMENT Overall, Max Payne is a great game for both consoles. But do be aware for the MATURE rating, its on there for a reason. I bought it, played it, beat it, digested it and spit it back out. I like it. Score: PS2-8.9/Xbox-9.0 |
