Final Fantasy Chronicles
Final Fantasy Chronicles

With the success of Final Fantasy Anthology, which consisted of FFV and FFVI, SquareSoft has released 2 other classics in Chronicles, Final Fantasy IV (originally Final Fantasy II in the U.S.) and Chrono Trigger.  Both games were huge on the Super Nintendo, and many RPG fans are happy to see these great games re-emerge after many years for the next-gen systems.

Final Fantasy IV

Your journey begins as Cecil, the captain of the Red Wings of Baron.  On the surface, the kingdom of Baron appears to be peace-loving, but the King has been acting strangely lately, forcing Cecil to attack other kingdoms and steal their crystals.  Cecil has always obeyed his king but he begins to question the Kings actions.  What could be the Kings motive?  Guess youll have to play to find out.

The Pros

The Story

As with all Final Fantasys, the story is very intriguing.  There is a wide variety of characters you will befriend on your journey.  Although, the dialogue is not very intricate, it is enough to keep your attention.  It seems a little two-dimensional for me, but maybe thats because Im so used to todays standards.
