| Cel Damage By: Billy Overview EA (Electronic Arts) sets forth and brings to you a demolition derby style game. The only thing different about this one is, the characters are all toons. -Cel Damage, as it turns out, is a TV program which toons watch other toons crash and kill each other. Using their special abilities (weapons), the object of the game is to kill the other, and get points in the process for doing so. The whole catch phrase of the program is this: because toons never die, it doesnt matter how many times [they] are blasted apart,They keep coming back for more. PROS Cel Damage comes equipped with very smooth and very detailed graphics. The controls and game play are very simple. You will notice some humerous remarks coming from the characters once in awhile, this breaks up the constant sound of crashing. The effects and FPS (frames per second) are super fast. This is done though the cel shading graphics. The best feature of the game is its multi-player option. Actually, all this game is, is a multi-player game. CONS There is really no story line here. Its demolition derby cartoon style. The only way to get into the game, is to be playing it with a friend. Hence, as stated before, MULTI-PLAYER. The game will get boring if your playing single. Also, the frustration at almost always losing will put a dark cloud (no pun intended) over you. Overall With its great graphics and great multiplayer option, well, thats pretty much it. Could have been a little better, had there been an actual story line. My score: 7 |
