Projects

Six Flags Holland by Jon

I've started this project on january 17th. The reason was the terrible recreation by Chris Sawyer. Only the coasters from that recreation were acceptable (accept for some colourschemes). The first thing to do was to collect as many photo's as possible of the real park. Altough I've been there twice, I can't remember every specific building. After that it was time to begin in the scenario-editor, the entrance gate and ticketoffices were created in the scenario-editor. Then i started builind on the Hollywood Main Street, it only took my a few hours to finish that. Superman the ride was a different kind of Story. I downloaded the trainer who has the possibility for increasing the lift hill speed. So now with a few pictures and a layout I started building on it... After couple of hours peeling on the coaster I quitted RCT2 and take some rest, because it was a terrible job to make everything look great and realistic. The next day I decided to make a fresh start and destroyed the half way done Superman. The new Superman took me only an hour and looks great.

The next ride was 'Le Tour de Jardins' Located near the Pacific Promenade Station, this is a vintage car ride, and wasn't difficult to recreate. After LtdJ came Le Grande Roue, a ferris wheel, altough the name says "grand", in RCT2 is it a different kind of story. It supposed te be 46 meters tall, but in RCT2 there's no such thing as a 46 m tall Ferris Wheel. So it became a nice and small Ferris Wheel.
