You continued your trek through the desert. The heat steadily takes its toll on your and you begin to feel dehydrated and exhausted. As you rise over the next huge sand dune you feel as if you can't go on any further. You stumble down the dune, collapsing at the bottom.
Suddenly a draft of chilled, refreshing air washes over your face, making you glance up. To your surprise, a large cave rises before you. Jewels glimmer from the walls of the cave as the sun touches them. The chilling air draws you into the cave and you come to realize there are no jewels but the walls are made of ice! Surprised by the sudden change of temperature, you wander aimlessly through the cave tunnels until you finally reach two large wooden doors. You push the doors open revealing a large cavern.
Against one wall is a small bed and beside that, a large pet bed. On the wall opposite the bed was a second set of large wooden doors. Snow sifts under the door creating the chilled draft. In the middle of the room is an average sized desk. On the desk is a large book with the words "Egyptan" labeled on the front. You open the book flipping though the pages, viewing the various pictures on each page. After you finish with the pictures you find a few pages of neatly written content. It reads ---

I found the most interesting thing todaysome kind of odd cocoon. It was frozen in a block of ice and something about it told me it shouldnt be in this part of the desert. So I brought it home and Im waiting for it to hatch. I do hope its friendly.

Ive discovered what should be hatching from the cocoon. Its something called an Eygptan. They are fox-like creatures with multiple tails and two sets of wings. Theres one, out in the Desert of the Sun. Ive hardly ever seen anything beyond the Desert of the FrozenSuns. So Ive only seen this creature oncebut I got a few pictures of it. Those are the pictures in the front of the binder. Ive only seen two stages of these Egyptans. The teen and the cubthey were in a book near an oasis. Someone saw me so I came back here. I guess Ill have to figure this out on my own from here on. I hope Im correct in my findings of these creatures. Once it hatches, Ill be sure to get more information. Ill write more then.

Well the cocoon has hatched and what a beautiful sight I found. I was correct and the cocoon hatched into a lovely male Egyptan. I've named him Diamant Rivage or Diamond Shore in French. He seems to be of the stone tribe. Rivage seems to love playing along the cliffs in the FrozenSun. He's a sweet creature so far and I'm enjoying having him around.
Rivage's image is attached at the bottom, isn't he handsome?

Its been almost a week since my beautiful Egyptan emerged from his cocoon. Rivage has grown into a lovely teen Egyptan and I grow more and more fond of the beautiful Egyptan I have taken into my home. He still loves playing along the cliffs and is now trying to learn to use his beautiful double set of wings. I've convinced him to practive near the lower cliffs becuase I'm terrified he'll get hurt diving from up there! He's growing up quite fast and I'm worried he'll soon be going off on his own to search for a mate. That...or another one of his species. Well a more updated image of Rivage is attached at the bottom of this entry.

Another week's gone by. My beautiful Egyptan has finally became an adult! I was so happy to come in and see him asleep in his bed. A beautiful, elegant adult. I didn't want to wake him so I crept outside to write this entry. Oh I fear he'll be leaving soon to search for other Egyptans. His life was so sheltered here in the Valley. Danger is so rare here, but I know how much he longs to see new things and to have adventures. So for now I'll try to keep my worry down and see how this turns out. Oh and did I mention? He can fly now! Its amazing watching him soar through the sky. Well here he comes, good bye for now, I'll write in on updates. Oh yes, there he is at the bottom as a lovely adult.

Its been two weeks since my last update on Rivage. He's gone off on his own now. My anxiety rose as I watched him step out from the cave that leads into the FrozenSuns Desert and into the Desert of the Sun. I gave him a little diary. Enchanted it is, so all he has to do is think about what he wants to write in it, and it will. I'll love to hear about his adventures, so I feel a bit better about letting him go out on his own. I will write more when he returns.
