Aurorra and Orek finally confess their feelings for each other!

Orek says, 'So how do you like my city?'
Aurorra says, 'it's beautiful...wonderful! you have so many wonderful craftsmen to be able to do all of this!'
Orek says, 'Aye stone work and metal work are highly prized here'
Aurorrra says, 'why did the dwarves go underground? or were they always underground from the start?'
Orek says, 'The goblins were out of control from the longest time, so we hid in caves and soon those caves were more defensable than outside so...'
Aurorra says, 'I definitely understand that! our city is a facade of sorts to keep the orcs out...it looks like you're going into a mountain, but when you come out the other side you realize it was just a tunnel,'
Aurorra says, 'and the poor wood elves get it the worst from the orcs-- luckily, orcs can't climb trees, so now our cousins live in the trees'
Orek says, 'Aye I remember the dwarves who helped build that,'
Aurorra says, 'wow-- you're quite the, er, you've been around a long time, eh?'
Orek says, 'ohh I'm just around 140'
Aurorra says, 'I'm about 250 myself...'
Orek says, 'Aye, elves are very long lived'
Aurorra says, 'I wish dwarves were more so...'
Orek says, 'Ah we have a good life while we're here'
Aurorra says, 'yes...I can see that...and the women working right alongside with the men...they're very muscular, the women...'
Orek says, 'Aye, they are. Not like elves, who are more soft and...hey look a fish!'
Aurorra says, 'I heard it said that dwarven women can grow beards!'
Orek says, 'aye, that they do'
Orek says, 'altho it's not quite in fashion anymore......'
Aurorra says, 'do they braid their beards on their wedding nights, too? I mean...ah yes...beautiful fish!!'
Aurorra flushes bright red.
Orek says, 'what?'
Aurorra says, 'I said beautiful fish you pointed out there!'
Orek says, 'Och! Garh!'
Aurorra says, 'now Orek...calm down...'
Orek says, 'someone told you what that meant did they...'
Aurorra says, 'yes...Telanthalas...'
Aurorra says, 'how did HE know anyhow? I feel like I'm the last one to know!'
Orek says, 'Aye that's what it means'
Aurorra flushes with embarrassment.
Aurorra says, 'well...'
Orek says, 'I ahhh'
Aurorra sighs nervously.
Aurorra says, 'you better sit, Orek'
Orek says, 'I ahhh I found something for you!'
Aurorra says, 'oh! oh really? what is it?'
Orek says, 'I saw it at the store an well I thought you might like it'
Aurorra says, 'oooh!!!'
Aurorra says, 'how incredible!! I've never seen this before!'
Orek says, 'Last bottle even!'
Aurorra dabs it behind her ears and on her wrists and inner arms.
Aurorra says, 'what a romantic...I mean...well'
Orek says, 'it smells nice lass...'
Aurorra says, 'thank you Orek'
Orek says, 'So ahh err humph'
Aurorra runs her fingers over the braids in her hair.
Glug, glug, glug... Aurorra takes a swig of White Wine.
Ahhh. That was refreshing.
Aurorra says, 'well...oh goddess give me strength...there's something I've been wanting to tell you...'
Aurorra's face turns pale.
Orek says, 'Aye?'
Aurorra says, 'and I want you to know that I still want us to be partners no matter what your reaction is, OK? and please, tell me truthfully about how you feel about what I'm going to say, because this is killing me to keep it inside!'
Aurorra bites her lip.
Orek says, 'Alright lass...alright'
Aurorra takes a deep breath and clears her throat.
Aurorra starts trembling.
Aurorra says, 'Orek...I have...been...in love with you for many seasons now...oh goddess...and I understand if you're not interested in a high elf, but I just had to tell you because everytime I look at you I melt.'
Aurorra covers her face.
Aurorra is too scared to uncover her face!
Orek says, 'ah...er...hm...'
Orek says, 'I see'
Aurorra says, 'please please...just tell me what you're thinking quickly'
Orek says, 'Err...so...ah...lass is that why you were upset with Gahhn?'
Aurorra says, 'yes...because he wanted to take something from me that I had been...saving hoping you'd want it...aaaah this is so hard for me!'
Aurorra covers her face again.
Orek says, 'Ahhh...er...umm..'
Aurorra blushes redder and redder behind her hands.
Orek says, 'Well lass...now that you've said it...er...how do you feel?'
Aurorra says, 'I feel like I'm dangling on one of your fishing lines right now!'
Aurorra says, 'would you like me to leave so you can be alone?'
Orek says, 'No! NO! I mean errr...no lass stay if you like'
Aurorra resumes covering her face.
Orek says, 'I errr...'
Aurorra says, 'I'm sorry I put you in this position- do you need time to think?'
Orek says, 'Er...'
Aurorra keeps her head down and looks at the planks through her fingers.
Orek says, 'well lass, I errr...No one's ever said that to me before I ahhhh'
Aurorra says, 'really?'
Orek says, 'Aye...'
Aurorra says, 'how can that be? I mean, I'm glad to hear it, but it's hard to believe!'
Aurorra looks down at the planks again.
Orek says, 'I'm just a simple warrior, lass. Not a handsome high elf. I'm not exactly learned like they are...why me?'
Aurorra says, 'oh Orek! do you think I'd want a high elf just because they tend to be more learned? how boring to settle for someone just like yourself!'
Orek says, 'Ahhhh...'
Aurorra says, 'besides, high elf males tend to be somewhat arrogant...I couldn't settle for that!'
Orek says, 'So it's because I'm different? I see...'
Aurorra says, 'no, no...'
Orek says, 'I ahhhh...'
Aurorra says, 'when Klantyre first put me with you, I thought we wouldn't get along because our peoples have had many wars in the past...'
Aurorra says, 'but do you know that your name holds a lot of respect? I don't know if you knew that, but you're known all across Faydwer! so I was honored to become your partner'
Orek says, 'I've never thought of that before'
Aurorra says, 'but again, this is all before my feelings surfaced, so I haven't really answered your question!'
Aurorra fiddles with her buckles nervously.
Aurorra says, 'you've never been told someone was in love with you, and I've never fallen in love before, so this is a little awkward to put into words...I'm sure Klantyre could channel her goddess and have the most eloquent words come forth, but I'll try my best to express myself.
Aurorra looks down at the water.
Aurorra says, 'why I fell in love with you...I'm a romantic-- a picky romantic at that-- so I've been waiting for that thing they talk about in books...where you gaze at someone and suddenly your heart clenches up and you feel light-headed and starry-eyed, and that happened when I first saw you. I can't explain why-- maybe whenever people fall in love it's inexplicable because it's Erollisi touching us with her hands.'
Aurorra says, 'why I love you now...you're very strong, masculine, chivelrous, honorable, funny, sweet, protective...and when you're not with me I long for your return.'
Aurorra stares at the water again and gulps.
Orek says, 'Ahhhh errrr...hmmm'
Orek says, 'it's good that you told me lass'
Aurorra continues staring at the water silently.
Orek says, 'It sounds like you would have burst if you hadn't'
Aurorra laughs a little too loudly.
Aurorra says, 'you're exactly right-- I told Febben...I had to! we were in the same boat! we made a pact to support one another, even!'
Orek says, 'I have to be perfectly honest'
Aurorra holds her breath and panics.
Orek says, 'When I was told I was to be partnered with an elf I didn't like it'
Orek says, 'They are all so stuffy and high browed'
Aurorra nods in understanding.
Aurorra says, 'yes, you see?'
Aurorra goes quiet again.
Orek says, 'But you're not like any elf I ever knew'
Aurorra says, 'really??'
Aurorra looks at Orek softly.
Orek says, 'You're a dwarf through and through'
Aurorra says, 'aww! that's the best compliment you could ever give me, I think!'
Aurorra says, 'I'm sorry...thank you Orek'
Orek says, 'So I ahhhh...er...I miss you too when you're gone'
Aurorra beams with pleasure.
Aurorra says, 'really?'
Orek says, 'Aye, that I do'
Orek says, 'So perhaps we should...err...make sure we don't separate again'
Aurorra blinks at Orek in disbelief.
Aurorra says, 'and...and how would we make sure of...of that?'
Aurorra feels her heart stop.
Orek says, 'I mean you know how Octavia is, always switchin partners and all'
Aurorra nods at Orek.
Orek says, 'So I was ahh....I wanted to...hmmm....'
Aurorra tells her party, 'yes...we should tell everyone that neither of us will ever switch'
Orek says, 'I was going to tell you....but ahhh...after you told me this I ahhh'
Orek says, 'Realize how difficult it is'
Aurorra tells her party, 'I know how Klanty and Telby are-- like thieves in the night they come and switch people!'
Aurorra blinks.
Orek says, 'Are you really sure about this, lass?'
Aurorra says, 'what were you going to tell me, Orek?'
Aurorra speaks in a quiet voice.
Orek thinks for a moment.
Orek says, 'Ahhh lass, you fight like a dwarf, drink like a dwarf and act like one'
Aurorra blushes profusely.
Aurorra says, 'I'm getting better at drinking like one...don't worry!'
Aurorra tries to smile a big smile.
Orek says, 'and I'd...I'd be very...I'd be very stupid if'n I didn't....tell you'
Orek says, 'Och lass, I love ye'
Aurorra starts crying.
Aurorra holds her hands to her heart.
Orek says, 'And I'd be happy to have ye braid me beard'
Aurorra says, 'aaaaw!!! OREK!!!'
Aurorra throws her arms around Orek and squeezes him tightly.
Orek says, 'Och! Can't breathe...'
Aurorra says, 'I would be honored to braid your beard Orek! Oh Orek!'
Orek hugs Aurorra.
Aurorra apologizes to Orek whole-heartedly.
Aurorra releases her hold a little.
Orek says, 'So ahhhh'
Aurorra grins and blushes.
Orek blushes at Aurorra.
Aurorra says, 'you really do?? you really love me?? oh I never thought that would be the response you'd give me! the best I was hoping for was "OK, I'll consider you!"'
Aurorra gasps at Orek in amazement.
Orek says, 'Oh lass, of course I love ye. I always thought you'd find some high elf or some other man and I'd be left with a new partner'
Aurorra says, 'oh Orek! never! I wondered why you were always saying that!!'
Orek nods at Aurorra.
Aurorra smiles at Orek and blushes.
Orek says, 'Aye that was it'
Orek nods at Aurorra.
Aurorra steels herself up and reaches out to touch Orek's beard.
Aurorra suddenly grabs Orek's beard and pulls his face forward and starts kissing him.
Orek kisses her back.
Aurorra throws her arms around his neck and continues kissing him.
Orek says, 'Woah hmp...emrmrmr'
Aurorra finally flops back weakly with the back of her hand to her forehead, trying to catch her breath.
Orek says, 'are ye alright?'
Aurorra says, 'wow...'
Aurorra says, 'the books...were...right...fireworks...breathless...amazing...'
Aurorra gets out between breaths.
Orek says, 'Aye lass, they were'
Aurorra blinks and sits back up.
Orek says, 'So lass, ye want to go braid a beard?'
Aurorra blushes at Orek.
Orek beams a smile at Aurorra.
Aurorra says, 'now before I answer that, it IS braiding a beard, right?'
Aurorra looks at Orek with big eyes.
Orek says, 'Har har!'
Aurorra blushes at Orek.
Orek says, 'Ahhh both lass....both'
Aurorra swoons again.
Aurorra says, 'aah...which do I do first?'
Aurorra trembles.
Orek says, 'Ahhh...'
Orek sighs at Aurorra.
Aurorra blushes profusely.
Orek says, 'Never mind lass if yer nervous'
Aurorra says, 'no, no...of course I'm nervous, Orek! I haven't done this before! Help me?'
Orek says, 'Oh aye aye'
Aurorra shows Orek the braids in her hair.
Aurorra says, 'I CAN braid hair well...the other one, I have no idea!'
Orek says, 'First of all stand up'
Orek says, 'follow me lass'
