Exploring Adat Yeshua

Thank you for entering my page!  Right now, you are probably searching to find out more about Jewish beliefs in Jesus.  Perhaps, you are questioning your faith, and are looking at different options. Are you in Kansas and interested in Messianic Judaism? Curious about the Messianic Jewish movement? Adat Yeshua is a Messianic congregation in Overland Park, Kansas. However, there is only one big problem...Adat Yeshua is not a Jewish group at all, but a Christian organization. Adat Yeshua is part of the Pentecostal Church! I will prove this, providing reference links, so that you can see the information for you own eyes.

Pentecostal Connection

On the Adat Yeshua webpage, Adat Yeshua proclaims itself a "Messianic Jewish" organization and states that its leader is "Jerry Feldman." Here is the link to their site so that you can see that they make this claim: Click Here

So, what is the problem? Well, actually, Adat Yeshua is a church of the Assembly of God movement, which is more commonly known as the Pentecostal movement. Here is the link to the Assembly of God movement's Church Directory. You will see that Adat Yeshua is officially part of their church. Here is the proof: Click Here

Would a real Jewish congregation be an official member of the Pentecostal movement? Of course not! It is pretty obvious that the Pentecostal movement is not in the habit of founding real Jewish organizations. As a Christian church, Adat Yeshua is listed in the directory of the KC Church Guide. Here is the link to the listing, Adat Yeshua is the third listing: Click Here

Christian Minister

Reverend Feldman often attempts to highlight his Jewish birth and upbringing, to try to legitimize his presentations. But to understand Jerry Feldman, one only need to look at a quote from him, as reported by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York:

"any approach to win [convert] Jews is a wonderful thing"

Here is the link to the quote; the quote is in the 9th paragraph: Click Here

Robert Wurtz, a Christian writer, states that Jerry Feldman is an "Assemblies of God Missionary to the Jews." A missionary to the Jews who claims to run a "Jewish" congregation? Clearly, Feldman is not telling the truth. Here is the link to the proof; it is the 6th posting in the forum, called "Robert Wurtz: "The Repentance That God Requires"" with the information in the fourth paragraph: Click Here

Further, he was educated at a Christian evangelical seminary. According to Missions Monthly, an evangelical Christian publication, Reverend Feldman is a graduate of the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Here is the link to the proof; it is about half-way down the page in the article "A Jew Finds His Messiah": Click Here

Now, you may be curious about the mission of the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Here is the first part of its mission statement:

"Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is an educational institution serving the Lord and His Church. Its mission is to prepare men and women for ministry at home and abroad. The Seminary undertakes this task as a training partner with the Church so that what is learned on campus may be complemented by the spiritual nurture and the exercise of ministry available through the Church."

It is crystal clear that this is group that trains Christian leaders, not Jewish leaders! A real Jew would never attend Gordon-Conwell, only a Christian would. Here is the link to the quote, the quote is the first paragraph of the mission statement: Click Here

As an Assemblies of God minister who wants to convert Jews, Jerry Feldman has joined other Assemblies of God ministers with similar goals. Reverend Feldman is the Vice President of the National Jewish Fellowship. The National Jewish Fellowship, thought it sounds Jewish, is a missionary branch of the Assemblies of God movement. It even says this on the National Jewish Fellowship webpage that lists Jerry Feldman as it's Vice-President. This link will bring you to the evidence; Feldman is listed on the bottom right-side of the page and if you look at the National Jewish Fellowship name at the top right-side of the page, you will notice in small writing is says "Assemblies of God": Click Here

Christian Radio

Reverend Feldman also has his own radio show, called "For Zion's Sake" on Bott Radio. Here is the link to the proof: Click Here

So what is Bott radio? It is a Christian radio station. According to Bott's website:

"Bott Radio Networks purpose is to serve the Lords people and to help strengthen each Christian family in our listening audience. Bott Radio Network is an arm of each Bible preaching local church and, as such, will encourage each listener toward a closer walk with the Lord.

Bott Radio Network presents the finest Bible Teaching and Christian News & Information programming in America. We continue to offer your family quality Christian programming 24 hours a day!

Would a real Jewish leader broadcast on a station teaching Christianity as its main concept? Never, only a Christian would! Here is the link to the quote: Click Here

Christian School

As a Christian leader, Jerry Feldman runs a Christian school called "Jewish Roots Institute of Kansas City." Since it is a Christian school, he suggests that people "Download our Flyer with the class information on it. Please post it on bulletin boards, give to your friends, hand out in Christian bookstores and at church."

Truly a statement that can only be made from one Christian to another. Here is a link to the Jewish Roots homepage, you will see the quote immediately following his introductory letter: Click Here

Not suprisingly, Feldman gives a discount to his fellow Christian leaders. Here is the link to the proof; the information is under "Pastors & Student Spouses": Click Here

Great Sites, Priceless Information

Here are a number of great sites that counter missionaries and explain the differences in belief between Judaism and Christianity, including addressing the Biblical verses that missionaries try to use against the Jews and explaining why the missionaries are incorrect.
