CHRISTIAN SCHOOL TELLS INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED CHILDREN THAT THEY ARE NOT WELCOME: The Cedars Christian College at Farmborough Heights, NSW, Australia, has told the two Year 8 students, Lucy Williams and Maddelyn Wall that they would not be able to attent the school in the following year. A spokesman for the Independent Education Union says discriminating against the students on the grounds of their disability is unlawful. Maddelyn is doing well at school and had received great reports. Lucy has been at the college since Year 2 and has a number of friends. Lucy's mum, Mrs Williams, has said that she found it ironic that school principal Dr Twelves had stood up at one of the college speech
nights and bemoaned the fact that too many of the college's students were leaving before Year 12. "He said he wanted to hold on to the children as long as possible so they could instill Christian values into them. But that doesn't seem to be the case when it comes to these particular children," she said. "It's not very Christian if you ask me." AMERICA DID NOT SIGN THE UN CONVENTION FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD. The US is a very keen supporter of the rights of unborn children, but once children emerge from the birth canal, they are on their own! President George W.Bush is a born again Christian who opposes access to abortion. To the delight of his pro life, reigh wing constituency he has cut funding to UNPDF under the pretex that the money is used for abortions. He and the other "pro-child" pro lifers ignore the fact that funds for family planning go a long way in reducing abortion. While he regards the life of zygotes, embryos and fetuses as sacrosanct, he places no value on the lives of children living in abject poverty and subject to forced labour, slavery, sex trade, abuse, lack of education and medical care. ARCHBISHOP WILLIAM LEVADA: "WOMAN SHOULD HAVE USED BIRTH CONTROL!"
William Levada is currently prefect of the Vatican's Congragation for the Doctrine of the Faith, he is responsible for protecting the orthodoxy of Catholic teachings around the world. While still Archbishop of Portland, Levada objected to paying support costs of a child fathered by a seminarian, Arturo Uribe, by arguing that the woman should have used birth control. VAN GOLDEN, A CHRISTIAN , PRO LIFE TEXAN, RECEIVES MEDICAL TREATMENT FROM ABORTED FETUSES. Van Golden has sold his house so that he could travel to communist, ATHEIST China to obtain treatment for his damaged spine which resulted from a car accident. Golden says, " I wish there was another way they could do it. There are 4,ooo abortions a day in the US. Partial-birth ones are murder on a most terrible level. What they are doing here is a whole lot more humane." Dr Huang, the Chinese doctor who pioneered the treatment says that the fetuses used should be around 16 weeks for best results. Read on...

He decided to waive any financial sancions on Saudi Arabia for failing to do enough to stop the modern day slave trade in prostitutes, child sex workers and forced laborers. Earlier on In his speech at the National Training Conference on Human Trafficking he stated that "...Human life is the gift of our Creator - and it should never be for sale. It takes a special kind of depravity to exploit and hurt the most vulnerable members of society. Human traffickers rob children of their innocence, they expose them to the worst to life before they have seen much of life. Traffickers tear families apart. ISLAMIC REPUBLIC'S SEX SCANDAL - SEX SLAVES: A measure of Islamic fundamentalists' success in controlling society is the depth and totality with which they suppress the freedom and rights of women. In Iran for 25 years, the ruling mullahs have enforced humiliating and sadistic rules and punishments on women and girls, enslaving them in a gender apartheid system of segregation, forced veiling, second-class status, lashing and stoning to death.
In Tehran, there are an estimated 84,000 women and girls in prostitution, many of them are on the streets, others are in the 250 brothels that reportedly operate in the city. The trade is also international: Thousands of Iranian women and girls have been sold into sexual slavery abroad. This criminal trade is not conducted outside the knowledge and participation of the ruling fundamentalists. Government officials themselves are involved in buying, selling and sexually abusing women and girls.
Popular destinations for victims of the slave trade are the Arab countries in the Persian Gulf. According to the head of the Tehran province judiciary, traffickers target girls between 13 and 17, although there are reports of some girls as young as 8 and 10, to send to Arab countries. One ring was discovered after an 18-year old girl escaped from a basement where a group of girls were held before being sent to Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. The number of Iranian women and girls who are deported from Persian Gulf countries indicates the magnitude of the trade. Upon their return to Iran, the Islamic fundamentalists blame the victims, and often physically punish and imprison them. The women are examined to determine if they have engaged in "immoral" activity...Women who are arrested for prostitution say they must have sex with the arresting officer. There are reports of police locating young women for sex for the wealthy and powerful mullahs. Read on...

PAT ROBERTSON, PRO-LIFE ADVOCATE & CHIEF OF THE CHRISTIAN COALITION SUPPORTS ABORTION OF CHINESE FETUSES: Asked about China's "one child" policy that can result in state-ordered abortions, Robertson said: "I don't agree with it . But they've got 1.2 billion people, and they don't know what to do. If every family over there was allowed to have three or four children, the population would be completely unsustainable...I dont' think the United States needs to intefere with what they're doing internally in this regard." Robertson's interview provoked the right and the left. Kate Michelman, president of the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights League, said she saw the interview and "was astonished." NARAL opposes forced abortions and laws prohibiting abortions as violations of a woman's right to control reproduction. (It seems Robertson and Bennett believe that the aborting of white Christian fetuses is murder, while the aborting of Chinese and black fetuses is not. If abortion is murder, then it should make no difference whether the population is 1.2 billion or 1 thousand or whether black fetuses are perceived to be future criminals. After all, fetuses are all innoncent regardless of colour or nationality. Pro-lifers never tire of telling us that abortion is the worst possible crime/sin that one can committ. Robertson and Bennett may be sexist, racist and ignorant but they do have a role to play - to educate the public of the hypocricy of the religious right!)
CATHOLIC SCHOOL FIRES TEACHER FOR BEING PREGNANT : Michelle McCusker was fired from St. Rose of Lima Catholic school after she told the principal she was having a baby. McCusker told a press conference that: " I also don't understand how a religion that prides itself on forgiving and VALUING LIFE could terminate me because I am pregnant and choosing to have this baby."
The school fired Ms. McCusker ostensibly for engaging in non-marital sex, but neither the school nor the Diocese that runs the school enforces this policy aginst men," said Anna Schissel, Acting Director of NYCLU's Reproductive Rights Project (RRP). " Applying different policies to men and women employees is classic sex discrimination." The school enforced its policy of prohibiting sex outside marriage only after learning that McCusker was pregnant.
After the NYCLU wrote to the school's principal on McCusker's behalf, urging her reinstatement, the school terminated the teacher a week earlier and rescinded its permission for McCusker to say good-bye to her students. Eileen Moran from CFFC has this to say: " Choosing to become a parent is a serious decision that Ms McCusker had a right to make without fear of reprisal from her employer. Ironically had she been a student in a Catholic institution, and a pregnant single woman, Church authorities would have counselled her, indeed may have even pressured her, to continue her pregnancy. Yet, as her employer, in spite of all the official pronouncements of being pro-child, pro-parent and pro-family, St. Rose fired her." Read on...
