First off, I would like to congratulate you John on turning around you '01 finish of 9th place into a division leading ball club in '02. What's the most thing you give credit too for this incredible come back season?
More than anything, i'd say my passion for Fantasy baseball has attributed to my rise as one of the greatest fantasy baseball teams off all times. Ive put endless hours of work into building a winner, but unless I reach the ultimate goal, it will all be for naught. I cant really point out one player that made it possible
You say winning it all means everything, but haven't you sold your soul to the devil....In the last year you have traded away blue chippers such as Joe Borchard, Brett Myers, Ed Almonte, and Aaron Rowand. What do you think about the future of the White Sox?
Good Question Dave...If you look at my team, I still Have some very very good young players in Halladay, Anderson, Buehrle, Guys like that. Even my vets are still in there prime, and will be for a few more years. maddux is up there in age, but except for him, My future is Very Very bright. Besides, Im the Master of the Trade, Im the David Copperfield of MLB Reality, and Through trades and Free Agency, I will always have players that are in there prime. My theory is this.." A lot of White Sox doubters say that losses the Jays and Brewers in the last few weeks show that your slowing down and that you have to many holes in the infield to contend with the D-Backs and M's of the world, what do you have to say to them?
Those are the exact people that are currently chasin my ass while I climb up the standings. If I won all my games, I'd be dissapointed. Losing Builds Character...If I were to lose every game and still make the playoffs, thats fine with me. The Playoffs is all that matters, and come playoff time, I'll be a bitch to contend with
Your American League looks like a 3 team race, who do you feel is the wild card in the whole thing and will sneak in as the fourth seed and visit Chicago in the first week of the playoffs? And why do you feel this?
Ya Know dave, I really think The Storm are gonna sneak in..Maybe its sentimental because they're expansion and I root for the underdog, but I think they can do it. My smart pick tells me the dead rockies, the sentimental pick says Storm. The Rockies have all the weapons neccasary, but I like The Storms Heart. It doesnt matter really, does it...Im gonna win the Pennant anyway
Well I'm sure the Astros will have a lot to say about that 4th and final wild card spot, but onto some important shit. This season maybe all for not as the Players may strike and abrupt our season. How do you feel about this on a fantasy level and on a real life level?
On a fantasy Level, I believe I would no longer be able to particiapate in Fantasy Baseball. That isnt definite, but I dont think I could put any pride into it. As for Real Life..Most of the owners are losing money, Meanwhile, The players are Cashing million dollar checks living the Phat life. Yet, for some reason, the Players STILL want another 70 million in revenue sharing. I dont get this at all!! These Guys get paid Stupid amounts of money to play a kids game, and now they want more money, or they're gonna take they're ball and go home. I really miss when baseball was still a game
Well we all have to agree with you on those statements John....But hopefully will never have to find out what would have happened and they'll resolve there differences. Now I'm wondering if you agree with the fact that inactive owners have slowed down Season 2, but Season 3 looks bright, as we have added can't miss managers. How do you feel about such a change over in managerial positions?
Nobody likes a 25 Percent Turnover rate, but it had to be done. I'd like to believe that its an honor to be in this league, theres alot of teams that arent in that really want in bad. If people are gonna take that for granted, they should get booted. I think we still have a couple owners who take this for granted, but Im not gonna call anyone out
