Joey last year you took over the Round Rock Express, a team with a .539 winning percentage, your team this year is a little below that, have you felt this season has been a success or a dissapointment?
Success, Last year he won on pure luck, as when I took over the team, the top 4 players were Hawkins, Marte, Huff and Horacio Ramirez, as you can tell, i revamped my team into a young powerhouse who is only going to get better with the likes of Teixeira, Aramis, Joe Mauer and my great young SP's, I have made this team into winners on talent, not on luck
In the last two months you and the White Sox have been the hottest team in Reality, do you realistically think that this could carry over into the playoffs?
Yes, the reason I was not this hot before is because of injuries to players such as Teixeira, Gibbons, Williamson, Durham and many other starters, and I still have more starters that are out or just returning(griffey and mauer) which is only going to make this team stronger heading into the playoffs, which makes me think I am a legitimate contender.
Do you think that the 6 teams holding the playoff seeds as we speak will hold on, or do you think the Superstars have a shot at catching one of them, if so...who?
The 6 current teams will hold on. As it stands right now, I am the 6th seed, and i know they sure as hell aren't catching me, and the rest of the teams are pretty elite as well, and I think the 4 teams below me are not on the same level as the current 6 playoff teams.
Some questions then for ya, what team is the best of the Super Six, and what team do you hope to face in the first round and why?
Best team of the "Super Six" is the cubs, because their young talent is just unbelievable as well as their depth. The team I would like to face 1st round is the Mets, to prove all my doubters wrong, that I am an elite team and that my team can play with the best.
That's pretty bold to wanna face the Mets in the first round, I respect that. Your obviously stating that the Mets have some vulnerable spots in there roster, tell us what they are?
Actually, I was not saying they are vulnerable, I was saying that because I wanted to show I can beat the top team in the NL this year, but I do think my SP is better than his which would help me matchup.
Now you've admittingly stated you dislike relievers being on your team, but looking at the top tier teams in this league like the Mets and Mariners, they can definetly match offenses with you, but many would argue that what seperates them from a team like the Twins is there pitching depth, do you plan on addressing this in the off season?
No, I do not, look at what I have done the past 2 months without RP's, I have stomped on some teams and kept up with the top 2, beating the Mets and tieing the Mariners, now that was with some hurt players and a weaker SP than I have now. I feel my young SP as they continue to mature, will put me over the top along with dominant power hitters that I have.
