People have called you a �bitch� on more than one occasion, why do you think this is, and what do you think of it?
I couldn�t care less. I speak my mind, just because I don�t always agree with the majority I get the reputation of being a complainer, but I just want what is best for the league. People will say what they want about me regardless of what I say in response, its human nature.
You entered MLB Reality last season as an expansion team, and finished near the bottom of the league standings, while the Storm went on to a playoff spot, why do you think this was?
I feel I drafted looking towards the future, whereas Storm selected more players for the �now�. I had no visions of making the playoffs, it�s Season 2 where I should excel.
Why do you say that?
Well, over the course of the season I added the likes of Adam Dunn, Josh Beckett, Pat Burrell, Orlando Hudson and Josh Fogg, all extremely young and extremely talented players who will only get better with time.
In the offseason you added even more with the likes of stars Torri Hunter and Joel Pineiro, as well as Casey Fossum and JC Romero. What made those players appealing to you?
Hunter is obvious. All-Star at the toughest OF position to fill, and he�s young and still improving. The same goes for Pineiro, he should anchor a very good Mariners team for years. Fossum is another young pup who is slated to start in the Red Sox rotation, and that usually means good things. Romero finally gives me a set up man, the one thing I had been lacking since the dealing of Latroy Hawkins.
Where do you see your team placing this season?
There�s no question in my mind that my team will challenge for a playoff spot, and I�m very confident that barring injuries this team could cause some problems for the upper echelon teams come postseason time.
Shifting focus to the rest of the league, who do you feel are the top teams in the league?
Well obviously a two time champ like the Mariners has to be doing something right, and the Red Sox look poised to make another run. But I like the Cubs chances this season if they can get production from the young pups.
Speaking of youth, which expansion team do you feel drafted best?
I�m gonna go with the Salem Volcanoes, not so much for their drafting but for some smart deals they made during and after the draft.
