Long-ass news update thingus:

1- Regarding all updates:

First off, since Shouki and I (Fuukyou) are still in school, updates are going to be very slow/non-existant until summer. I get out of school June the 3^rd or somewhere around there, not quite sure when Shouki gets out of school (but that’s like non-important because I’m the only one with the web skills to update the site @_@. However, it does mean that edits of Rain and SpiderWebs will go slower, but if all else fails I can do them myself.). So bear with us until then, ne? for those who didn’t read all that:

PROBABLY NO UPDATES UNTIL JUNE 3^RD.

Secondly, different series will be up at different speeds depending on who is editing them and how much free time they can get. Currently, editing jobs (for the series listed in the ‘works’ section) is as follows:

Blackest Rose- Currently Shouki, though it’s not permanently set

Reality’s Fantasy- Fuukyou

Rain- Shouki

SpiderWebs- Shouki

Kowareteiku Kono Sekai De- Fuukyou

Modern-day Blackest Rose- not set as of yet

Blackest Rose II- not set as of yet.

2- Regarding most new updates:

As of the moment, the place where all of Deadly Dreams’ ‘raw’ RP files are archived is having server problems, so the following series will not be able to be edited until the server is back up:

Modern-day Blackest Rose

Blackest Rose II

Any other new series

I’m sorry for this problem, but it’s beyond my control.

3- Regarding Blackest Rose II

Blackest Rose II finally has an official title(!); ‘Reddest Blood’. Sounds nice, ne? Blackest Rose, Reddest Blood...hehe ^^:

Releases will start as soon as we get the raw files back.

4- Regarding Kowareteiku Kono Sekai De (KKSD)

First off, if anyone out there is a Pierrot fan, you’ve probably recognized the connection between the title of the series and song title of the same name, ne? The title has a bit of a history, mostly caused by one of Silver’s mistakes again.

The series was actually inspired from the setting and the characters in the Kuria Sukai (‘Nuclear Sky’, often mislabeled as ‘Clear Sky’) PV (promotional video a.k.a. music video). But let me get this straight right now: WE ARE NOT COPYING ANYTHING AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT Kuria Sukai AND THE PV ARE COPYRIGHT PIERROT. DEADLY DREAMS DOES NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR ANY OF THAT. (just jumping the gun before anyone tries to accuse us..). Due to a mistake in reading the Japanese on the DVD case the PV came from, we thought the title was ‘Kowareteiku Kono Sekai De’, hence the title. The mistake has been realized, but the series title is staying because we’re too far in to change it.

Anyway, KKSD will be a multi-part series. Currently we have three parts planned out, though for all we know it could get to four. Each part is like another stage towards freedom.

The first part, “Kowareteiku Kono Sekai De” starts in an underground prison and ends with the escape to ‘freedom’ only to be put into another prison. The second part, tentatively titled “Mad Sky” (yes, Pierrot references again...), starts in an aboveground prison in a war-desolated land. We have yet to plan past this, so any information on the ending of the second part or anything about the third part aren’t available to anyone yet.

..For the Japanese-challenged, “Kowareteiku Kono Sekai De” translates to “In this world falling apart” (basically). Kowareteiku=form of the verb ‘kowareru’, which means to fall apart. Kono= ‘this’, referring to the noun ‘sekai’ (world), forming ‘this world’. ‘De’ is a particle, in this case meaning ‘in’ and applying to the entire phrase. Put it all together and you get ‘In this world falling apart.” :)

5- Regarding new series

Currently, we have *counts* three new series in the works:

The first, which is at this point unnamed, is a simple, yaoi short. It will not turn into a multi-part series with a plot, it’s just an excuse for random malexmale sex. But I doubt anyone’s complaining about that. It involves a sarcastic asshole of a poolboy, a quiet, polite richboy, and random sex on a beach. Woot!

The second, unnamed as well, is also a simple yaoi short. This time about catboys. Mrr.

The third WILL be a continuing series. Like all the others, it is right now unnamed (can’t be helped, most of these just recently started... <_<). It is a j-rock centric series, but before I get any complaints that it’ll be just like Reality’s Fantasy, let me say it won’t be. Reality’s Fantasy focuses more on the lives of those behind the music; this new series will focus more on the music while still getting into the lives of the musicians. Angst amassing.
