| To all those who love this country as much as I do: Dear Friends, Azerbaijan is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and there is no one who can change my mind. It lies on the shore of the great Caspian lake so quietly that sometimes during the hot summer day you can see numerous families or just couples on the beach, enjoying the breeze, swimming in the salt water of the Caspian and eating delicious watermelon with cheeze and warm bread. They do it even after the sunset. The Earth gives away the gift of its heat to the Caspian, inviting the people to enjoy its calmness and infinity. When we, Azeris, travel abroad for any reasons, there is always a question that we're asked:"Where are you from?" Well, our answer sounds complicated to them, because of the way it sounds in another language. My first reaction to it was a certain kind of anger. Anger of the feeling that my country is not known across its borders. Of course it doesn't happen everywhere, but most of the time. We certainly understand that our country is not as big as USA or Brazil, but at the same time we can see an example of Switzerland or Vatican which are pretty small countries. It should be simply obvious to all of us and become one of our primary goals: to spread a quality word about our native country and never even try to be lazy not to answer any question about "Our Land Of Fire". The Fire of love for our country should be in our words, our actions and our fairness. We have to remember and tell truly good things about us but we never can even think to say that Azerbaijan should be considered the best for everyone in the world. Never forget that there are different cultures, countries and people in the world for whom their own is the best. Human-beings are complicated creatures and all of them have different opinions about different matters, so we Azeris are not in position to judge anyone or anything! So, Dear Friends: spread the word, tell stories, explain our history buit don't forget one very important thing: We're representatives of our land and we hold a certain responsibility: to make our country to be proud of us. Proud of our achievements, proud of our actions and even if we make several mistakes: to be sure that we fix them and fix them well! Let Allah protect Azerbaijan! |
