Thaddaeus, one of the original 12 disciples (Mark 13:18), later after the death of Jesus went to Abgar and gave him the Shroud for safekeeping.

Abgar (who himself was an Israelite) lived until AD 50 and Edessa (Odessa or "Edessa" in Mesopotamia/Iraq?; "the first city to be evangelized in Byzantium") was known throughout the civilized world of that day as the first Christian city.

In 944, when the Byzantine emperor, having heard of its existence, sent an army (!) and brought it to Constantinople.

[...] the eastern confines of Europe between the Caucasus and the Volga were ruled by a Jewish state, known as the Khazar Empire. The Byzantine Emperor and historian, Constantine Porphyrogenitus (913-959), must have been well aware of this"

The Christian European Knights of the Fourth Crusade stormed and sacked the Christian city of Constantinople (between 944 and 1452) and a French Knight, Robert de Clari, kept a careful record of what he had seen. Constantinople was stripped of its treasury of art and relics, and the shroud disappeared at the same time. Many historians believe it was given to the Knights of Templar (!), then the most powerful organization in Europe. (It is is here that the final connection is made.) A leading knight of the order at that time was Geoffrey de Charnay. It is believed the shroud was given to him for safekeeping, and even though de Charnay was burned at the stake (just as the leader de Molay), he went to his grave without ever revealing the whereabouts.

Finally, the granddaughter of de Charnay Marguerite transferred ownership of the shroud to the Savoy family (?) in 1452. There a fire broke out that damaged the shroud. Then the Savoys moved the shroud to Turin. And there it remains to this day.

"One of the most intriguing aspects of the Shroud image is the graphic evidence of the spear wound in Jesus' chest. The Gospel of John states that he was already dead when he was stabbed in the side in order to make sure that he was dead, and that blood and water proceeded from the wound. This mixture is visible on the Shroud. It proceeded from the chest wound, and is actually more visible on the dorsal [back] image, where the blood flowed horizontally across the waist. Physicians agree that the Shroud image of the wound is consistent with the gospel statement that a Roman lance [the 'spear of destiny'? -RCF] penetrated Jesus' heart."

One theory is that the image on the shroud was formed by a burst of radiation - from Jesus.

Physicians who have examined the Shroud image are unanimous in their belief that the man was dead when he was placed in the Shroud, and that his death was caused by crucifixion and the tortures (scourging and beating) that preceded it.

Pollens from Edessa, Palestine, Constaninople and Europe are found all over the shroud, which means the shroud must have been in these places in some point in time. 28 species of plants that grow in the Land of Israel were found.

Even blood spots are on the shroud, and have been identified as human and of type "AB"!

1) The word "Pharisee" comes from the Hebrew word "metaforaschm," which means interpretation. In this case interpretation of scriptures.

2) The root meaning of "Pharisee" is uncertain. It is probably related to the Hebrew parash (Aramaic perish), "one who separates."

These last are Jews by birth, and seem to have a greater affection for one another than the other two sects have."

In Matthew 23, he called them: "Hypocrites," "sons of hell," "blind guides," "fools," "full of robbery and self-indulgence," "whitewashed tombs... full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness," "full of hypocrisy and lawlessness," "partners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets," and "serpents and brood of vipers."

At day break of Saturday he will be thrown into boiling oil. Hell will pass but his punishment and his tortures will never end. They are the dirt of the dog, the unclean, and because they have misled men, they are cast into Hell, from which they never again come out.'"

In the Talmud one can read (if one is a Jew and knows Hebrew;
and therefore is ALLOWED to read it):

"... in addition to a series of scurrilous sexual allegations against Jesus, the Talmud states that his punishment in hell is to be immersed in boiling excrement - a statement not exactly calculated to endear the Talmud to devout Christians.
"According to the Talmud, Jesus was executed by a proper rabbinical court for idolatry, inciting other Jews to idolatry, and contempt of rabbinical authority. All classical Jewish sources which mention his execution are quite happy to take responsibility for it; in the talmudic account the Romans are not even mentioned."

The Talmud, which is a compilation of the sayings of Jewish sages down through the years and which according to Jewish religious leaders is the "heart blood of modern Judaism," classifies the non-Jew, whom they call "goyim", as a "beast of burden created to serve the Jews; and is the property of Jews." So they conveniently appropriated the word "gentile," when in the original Hebrew and Greek, it referred to "nations." To the Jew it means "cattle" and "non-Jews."

Martin Luther (1483-1546) one of the key figures in the Protestant Reformation and an accomplished scholar in both Hebrew and Aramaic, after an initial "love affair" with Jews that turned to ashes in his mouth, wrote a startling expose titled "The Jews and their lies". In this book he argued brilliantly that the root cause of gentile "anti-Semitism," was Jewish "anti-Gentilism."

From the birth of Jesus to the present there has never been recorded a more vicious, vile and libelous blasphemy against Jesus and Christians then you will find in the pages of these 63 volumes. "Jesus name in Hebrew was probably something . . . [like] Y'shua ben Yosef (Jesus the son of Joseph). You have to keep in mind that Y'shua, or Yeshua, or Yashua, which ever way you want to transliterate the spelling of the Hebrew, is a shortened form of his name. In essence, Y'shua, etc. is a nickname. . . . [H]is [full] name would probably be Yehoshua ben Yosef . . . [with the title] 'The Carpenter'. Natzaret was a small town, but it's reasonable to assume that there may have been more than one Yosef dwelling there. [...] There is no letter 'J' in Hebrew, Joshua is an anglo derivitive of Yehoshua. Another point of interest is that in the Galil, Hebrew was and still is to a point spoken with a regional dialect. Folks from the Galil tended to drop the 'ah' sound, especially in names, so Yeshua's friends from the Galil may have called him 'Yeshu'. This however is not a practice I would recommend, as the word Yeshu in Hebrew is also an acronym which some of our sages came up with which mean 'May his name be blotted out.' [!- as mentioned by Israel Shahak or Rev. Pranaitis] . . . As to whether the name Jesus is of Greek or Hebrew origin, I will say it's definately not Hebrew. Yeshua in Hebrew means 'Salvation'. Jesus is not the Greek equivilent of this word. Salvation in Greek is 'Soter' [??]. . . . Jesus is a Latinized version of the Hellenized Hebrew name of Yeshua. . . . Hebrew: Yode + Shin + Vav + Ayin = Yeshua [and in] Greek: Iota + Eta + Sigma + Omicron + Upsilon + Sigma = Iesous"

The Jews (and the Talmud) claim that Jesus mother Maria got pregnant with 1. a ghost 2. a Roman soldier named Panthera. The latter is probably more correct.

This whole conspiraracy or plot against the memory of Jesus is called "Toledot Yeshu" or "Sepher Toldoth Jeschu."

The Talmudic authors of the Sota and the Sanhedrim states that Jesus (or Jeschu) was taking during his boyhood to Egypt, where he was initiated into the secret doctrines of the priests.

The Talmud (also) states that the disciples of Jesus healed the sick "in the name of Jesus Pandera" (Yer. Shab. 14d; Ab. Zarah 27b; EccI. R. i. 8). Pharisees and Sadducees identified Jesus father as the Roman soldier Pandera (and not God, or even Josef).

In the "Acts of Pilate" ("Gospel of Nicodemus" ed. Thilo, in "Codex Apoc. Novi Testamenti," i. 526 Leipaic, 1832; comp. Origem, "Contra Celsum," i. 38) a Mr. Celsus makes the same statement in another passage where he refers even to a written source: adding that the seducer was a soldier by the name of Panthera. The name "Panthera" occurs here for the first time; two centuries later it occurs in Epiphanius ("Haeres."Ixxvii. 7), who ascribes the surname "Panther" to Jacob, and ancestor of Jesus; and John of Damascus (Do Orthod. Fide." iv. ss 15) includes the names "Panther" and "Barpanther" in the genealogy of Mary. It is certain, in any case, that the rabbinical sources also regard Jesus as the "son of Pandera," afthough it is noteworthy that he is called also "Ben Stada" (Shab. 104b; Sanh .67a).

The sojourn of Jesus in Egypt is an essential part of the story of his youth. According to the Gospels he was in that country in his early infancy, but Celsus says that he was in service there and learned magic; hence he was there in early manhood. This assumption may serve to throw more light on the obscure history of Jesus that the account found in the Gospels. The Talmud also says that Jesus was in Egypt in early manhood. H. Joshua b. Perahyah is said to have fled with his pupil Jesus to Alexandria in order to escape the persecutions of the "Jewish" king Yannai (103-76 B.C.); on their return Jesus made a remark on the not faultless beauty of their hostess, whereupon H. Joshua excommunicated him; and when Jesus approached him again and was not received he set up a brick for his god, and led all Israel into apostasy (Sanh. 107b; Sotah 47a; Yer. Hag. 77d). This account is supplemented by the statement, made on the assumption that Ben Stada is identical with Ben Pandera, that Ben Stada brought magic from Egypt.
