Zinni and the bombing of Iraq
Ever since the Kuwait conflict and the US war on Iraq allied US forces has been bombing Iraqi air defences and also patroling north and south of Iraq by air in self-designed air zones over Iraq.
Only between 16 and 23 Jan. 2002 these allied forces has bombed Iraq twice (officially known). But this is NOT another step in the "fight against terrorism" (proclaimed after the attack on the WTC-buildings of N.Y.) says allied spokesman. What is it then?
This is the candid quote of Mr. Zinni, now (Jewish) US negotiator in the Middle East:
"We have effectively destroyed 30 per cent of the air defences of Saddam, slowly Saddam Hussein is losing."
