Cedda: It is very difficult but we have to say the truth. I think that people of good heart and good will, will take this interview in the best manner.
Jared: I hope so.
Cedda: And this interview should be a beginning of a different kind of thinking and nobody should be a victim in the life.
Jared: I agree with you. Before, I asked you a question but you didn't answer. The Press said the Yugoslav Army committed atrocities against Albanians during the bombing. You said the war was dirty. Could you tell us more?
Cedda: Why? Even if I speak about this, nobody trust the Serbians. Even if I say no, it did not happen, nobody will trust the Serbians.
Jared: But I don't know exactly what happened, we need to know exactly -
Cedda: Even if I say no, even if one Jew coming from Pristina would say this charge is not true, it is very hard to believe because he can be a person who has some reason, he can be accused of -
Jared: So what? So they won't believe you! Let them believe what they will but at least if you say the truth it is being said. Don't you see, the truth must be -
Cedda: I was completely out of the fighting between Army and KLA [Kosovo Liberation Army, neo-Communist guerilla?, UCK] -
Jared: But you were in Pristina. You are the Chief Archivist of Kosovo. And you know! I am sure that you know! You know if there were people going around massacring people, you know from Albanian friends what was going on, you know if the Army was involved, if CNN was telling the truth or lying, you know a thousand times more than I do and if you can just tell the truth - somebody has to tell the truth for God's -
Cedda: Alright.
Jared: And if bad things happened, say that - just tell the truth -
Cedda: Bad things did happen. But Serbians as a people as a nation were not a nation which from the beginning of its history till this day were doing genocidal atrocities. But there were individuals who did certain things that should not have been done. But somebody is taking this, exaggerating, trying to make us the black sheep and - look, the Serbian people had no problems with the ethnic Albanians and as much as they saved Albanians the Albanians saved them especially in the latest period, but as soon as KFOR came inside and the border was opened to Macedonia and Albania lots of outside Albanians [KLA supporters] came inside and the end of it is a mess, killings. So what I'm saying is during the bombardment in the places where the people lived there was no massacre by the local population. The Serbs were defending the Albanians from the paramilitary troops [i.e, the KLA guerilla].- - -
Cedda: . . . with the withdrawal of the army there were paramilitary groups that existed on both sides - and that was when there was dirt.
Jared: But during the [US-Jewish gangsters', Albright et al] bombing?
Cedda: Then there was no massacring at all. For example in Pristina we were sitting together with Albanians in the cellar, in the basement.

Jared: You said many Albanians [!] fled the KLA, the gangs. Do you know how many?
Cedda: Tens of thousands. 15,000 went to Vojvodina, 30,000 to Belgrade, many more.
Jared: How did the [KLA guerilla affiliated] gangs that attacked buildings know whom to expel?
Cedda: They had evidence who was who. Also they came to the offices. People were expelled from the offices. All the institutions which belonged to the government had been occupied. The gangsters were coming to work, whether municipalities, courts or universities, or whatever which were public, the post office, the civil services, they would come to the buildings and take over, take the people outside. They had a register of who was working in these places.

Nancy (second interviewer): Can you get more identification of these people? Were they not from Kosovo, did they identify themselves in any way?
Cedda: Only in the position that they were armed, and in the position of the power. Definitely they are making an ethnically clean Kosovo [clean for Albanian KLA sympathizers].

Cedda: It is not only me that suffered but thousands of others. People who are of the age of 80 and expelled from their homes. And they're still doing it on a daily basis. It is still going on.

The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) has not only persecuted non-Albanians. It has also attacked Albanians who oppose their racism.
The main reason for USA-Europe supporting KLA seems to be, as told by important politicians, that this was the only way to bring this part of the world into the order of the International Community and EU (otherwise unions such as Yugo-Slavia, Great Slavia, seems to be supported by the "Hidden Hand"). Slobodan Milosovic also turned nationalist from (International) Communist.
The new KLA government of Albania was very quickly in cooperation with the European Union.

President Berisha Meksi and Jacob Rothschild sat to discuss an idea about resuming excavations at the ancient archaeological site of Butrint with the British school of archaeology in Rome.
This later developed into a full-fledged project incorporating archaeological digging and studies, tourism tailored for scholars and students of history and archaeology, and vegetable growing in the surrounding area, as well as a small air-strip to facilitate the transport of the fresh produce. The project went under the name the Butrint Foundation project, and the foundation had Lord (David?) Sainsbury (owner of the second largest food chain in Europe, not Marks & Spencer; which?) and Lord Rothschild as founders.Jacob Rothschild also asked president Berisha whether it would be possible for him to have a small plot of land on the Albanian shore of the Ionian facing the Greek island of Corfu in order to built a villa and a mooring place for his family yacht. Rothschild got a licence to purchase a small building area for a private villa. Lord Rothschild now (also?) has a holiday home and estate in Corfu, Greece, looks across the sea to Albania. With the collapse of that country's Communist regime he has been able to fulfil a long held ambition to help the excavation of Albania's finest Graeco-Roman site at Butrint.
Emma Rothschild (1948-), daughter of Nathaniel Mayer Victor, were enthusiastic about the archaeological project and the development of Albania "in the right direction."
The archaeologists themselves had a grievance with the pocket money. They said it was too little and mean. They expected Lord Rothschild to have been more open-handed, they let it be unerstood, and added that the Italian and the French were treating their Albanian counterparts more generously. The Albanians also insisted that Albania belongs exclusively to Albanians and that all foreigners were pursuing their own aims against the interests and the sovereignty of our country and they went so far as to describe the contract with the British School as a sell-out.
Interest in the opening of the Foundation was overwhelming. The inaugural meeting was planned at the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery - a worthy venue for a worthy project. The conference hall could accommodate about four hundred people. Requests for tickets were many more. Therefore, an adjacent room was made available for an additional eighty people who could watch the proceedings from a monitor screen. (In 1985 Lord Rothschild became the Chairman of the Trustees of the National Gallery in London. He was Chairman for six years and during that time the substantial new Sainsbury Wing, designed by the American architects Robert Venturi and Denise Scott-Brown, was given to the National Gallery by the three Sainsbury brothers. - In other parts of the world Lord Rothschild has demonstrated his great interest in architecture and archaeology. In Jerusalem his family foundation, Yad Hanadiv, has recently built and given to the State of Israel a major new building for Israel's Supreme Court. Lord Rothschild personally supervised the architectural competitions for this building and it has been universally acknowledged as a major work of contemporary architecture which is perfectly at home alongside the ancient walled city of Jerusalem.)
Sir Patrick Fairweather, former British ambassador in Rome, non-resident ambassador in Tirana, took over from Prof. Hodges as director of the Butrint Foundation in 1976. When the socialist government was set up after the elections, he came forward with fresh proposals regarding the second state of excavations in Butrint and new ideas for tourist development in the area. There was a difference between the original proposal made by Lord Rothschild in 1994 and what Sir Patrick was putting forward in July 1997.
Despite the set-backs, the country offered many opportunities, which, if skilfully presented, could have been sold to good and reliable companies. It is true that the opening up of Albania to the Western world coincided with the outbreak of hostilities in the former Yugoslavia. With the war in north-western Balkans and with the unsettled situation in Kosova, Albanian could sell its assets to only the well-informed companies, which had a clear picture of the Balkans then and could rely on Albania's role as a stabilising factor in the region.
Albania is a small country, in surface area (11 thousand sq miles) and size of population (3.3 million, of which 60-65% were farmers, 15% pensioners, an outsized bureaucratic machine, a large standing army and reservists, 20% under working age). Its main assets are mineral deposits, oil and gas, electricity generation from the rivers, and agriculture. A small country, often mentioned as the poorest in the Balkans, almost a Third World country, Albania had to make good and intelligent use of its assets in order to carve a place for itself in the economic map of the region and impress its partners in Europe and further in the field.

Ecevit, the Prime Minister of antidemocratic Turkey. Turkey is a very bizarre
country, much like Israel. The elité governments treats the masses
(Kurds, and in Israel's case: Palestinians) unjust. But the world
police of USA looks in another direction: to Iraq (the Kurdish problem!
- i.e. the Israel neighborhood problem) and Serbia-Yugoslavia. Turkey
has supported Israel and the US war against both Serbia and Iraq - at the
same time - by letting USA use Turkey for their aircraft attack bases. At
the same time they also sentence the Kurd Marxist leader Abdullah Öcalan
to a death penalty. (Öcalan was kidnapped by Israeli Mossad.) Ecevit
is himself a Turk, as well as a Jew.
