Inhuman interviews Petra Verkaik, August 2007
Robert
Inhuman: What was your initial motivation in becoming an actress in adult media
and how has it changed over time? Also, is there an online biography of your
career that you would most recommend for anyone interested in learning your
history?
Who
decides upon location and clothing for a photo or video shoot; how much intent
is considered in the psychology of fantasy or role playing in these elements; and
do you have any specific preference on how this is planned?
I decide on all the content for all of
my pictures. I have a distinct look and have been real fortunate to learn a lot
over the years in front and behind the camera. A lot of thought is really put
into my shoots. I like to mix it up and have my eye open all the time for
locations and a new look. The best plan to achieve this is to be prepared and
flexible with giving myself a lot of options.
Of all
the places you’ve modeled, which do you feel suits you best? Likewise for
clothing, in all the circumstances in which you’ve worked?
Working with real professionals.
On location like Bali or
What
candy do you most associate with sexuality and why?
Well I am sure most would answer Loli Pops! A good cherry one with my tongue wrapped around
it. But for me it would have to be a Milky Way bar, I like the creamy caramel
inside and how stringy it gets. HOT!
Two
parts... If you could alter one part of your body in any way, what would most
increase your success as a model? Next, if you could alter one part of your
body in any way, what would make you happiest?
Wow, I am not going to answer that one.
I wouldn't.
What
are your favorite and least favorite aspects of this decade’s popular adult
media aesthetic?
Least: Too much pink way to fast....
Most girls give it away with out any future thought what so ever. And in doing
so they last for a little while but are replaced so quickly you never even get
their name. That sucks.
Most: The efficiency of the adult
industry. The adult world has made so many break through' into main stream, it
has shape pop culture like we have never seen before. With out it, I would
probably working at Vons or something. So with the bad or unfortunate aspect of
the business there is a lot of good that comes through. Just like life.
If a
new modeling artist wanted to become established in the way you are, what would
your initial advice be to them; be it physically, emotionally, or otherwise?
Well protect their image. Mind, body, soul. You can't look good but for so long
destroying your body... so what ever your drug....RESPECT
it. Emotionally be prepared for the big joke at the end and never let anything
get in the way of you being you. With out getting into it, too much.....know
who you are, and who you are not.
What is
the point in which pornography "crosses the line" or becomes too
"extreme"? Are these issues a factor in your work or have they been a
conflict at any point?
Well for me I have kept my work very
close to the Quality of Choice. That would be my standard. My choice for the
image I wish to project has been my compass. You have to look back on your work
sometime. What is crossing the line anymore? With the
internet and individuals fully expressing themselves today. I can’t say
where the line is anymore. I am a centerfold model however you won’t see me in
pink but how can I slam someone for their individual expression. Look at Tera Patrick, first of all WOW!! Was she extreme? Is she
extreme? Here in
