REALICIDE
YOUTH RECORDS
REMIXING, COVER RECORDINGS, MEGAMIX TAPES…
Anyone who is interested in creating
mixes of previously released Realicide crew material, live bootleg collages,
and remixed hardcore, is encouraged to get in contact to submit mixes for publication
through RYR. Preferred are fast-paced abrasive mixes suited well for speeding
on the highway or angering up the blood of teenagers to the point at which they
either get real into graffiti, start a really wicked sick band, or just spit
bile at a teacher at school (the last case would be while the kid is listening
to it on a walkman at school).
If you are trying to attack a specific
track we’ve made, and could really use separated elements of it (drums, voice,
etc.) contact us and we’ll tell you if we’ve got the files to send or not.
Hardcore music and culture means
something slightly different to everybody – and the [re]mixing and destroying
of previous recordings can be done in many ways – software, tape edits, anything.
Mix tapes are fun because all the work is already finished in one form,
allowing you to take only your favorite parts and put them in any order, or
overlay them, to say something about yourself.
Likewise in the event that anyone would
like to record a cover version or interpretation of Realicide
material. We have done this on many occasions with bands that have influenced
or interested us, sometimes creating hybrid cover/remix tracks using sampling. Be
creative, be brutal – 21st fucking century punk action. Let us know
what you’re doing; we’d be genuinely interested; really!
