I executed a tribute session for our friend Harold Ryan Edwall who died on February 5th at age 18, days after his performance at the Damage fest.

 

Harold was the drummer and backing vocalist for A Child Must Die, a screamo/thrash/weird band in Cincinnati throughout 2004 up until the present. He was a very enthusiastic and dynamic kid who was a total blast to be around at shows or anywhere else.

 

I played mp3's of all their songs I could find, plus a few of Harold's solo pieces that I was able to round up on short notice, and I played 3 full shows... 1/28/05 at Mockbee, 8/21/04 in Cdawg's studio where we moved a show to when Sunflower closed down abruptly, and 8/16/03 in Iza's basement out in Anderson right near Harold's house.. that show had him on guitar for a band that predated A Child Must Die.

 

I performed a dedication vocal and feedback piece in the station.

 

I played Throbbing Gristle "weeping" from "DOA the third and final report of TG"

 

Mavis Concave live piece in the station after all of that.

 

Then I played a couple Screamers demo songs while Ron got some records out.
