1964 (pre CBS) Fender Telecaster bought from local Baltimore guitar player extrodinaire, Bill Rollins of Howdy Duty fame for $110, including a beat non-orig.case... the neck pick-up had been routed (ouch!) for a replacement pickup which I then replaced with the then groovy Gibson mini-humbucking pick-up. It's vintage value was already compromised when I refinshed it from a polluted looking yellow (to green, echh!) to black sun-burst to a walnut stain with a leather (oh man, how '70s dude!!!) pick-guard. This is the guitar I played with the Real Electros . I sold it to my friend Rob Martyn for a beast of a Harmony Soverign, cash and a 1941 Epiphone "Ritz".
