WAG THE DOG

The moment I learned the movie that we were to research, I felt happy that it would be a feel-good movie, comedy to be exact. I was actuallly thinking that the movie was about a dog and that it would be like "Beethoven", "Homeward Bound","or "101 Dalmatians". I really expected that I would be seeing lots of dogs in the movie but I was so wrong. Up to now, I couldn't understand why the movie was titled "Wag the Dog". Honestly saying, after knowing that it was about American politics, I was kind of disappointed for I know that it would be boring. But since, it was for a project and that it was said to be a comedy, I gave it a try.

True enough, I didn't enjoy the movie. I couldn't think of a word that would best describe it. It was just one boring flick for ME. Though the plot is good, I didn't find it interesting. But to make things good, the acting cast did just great. They did a fine job of playing their roles. They should because they are Hollywood people. J

The movie "Wag the Dog" examines the lines between politics, media, and show business. It showed how great media can influence the people in the society. With technology and political power, one can control the lives and the minds of the people for only a time. But even with all the hi-tech gadgets and the power that we have, the truth will always prevail. No matter how hard we try to conceal how we feel or hide what is really happening, people will still see us. No matter how media and show business disguise the truth out there, time will come that all these will be shown to public. We can never plot a thing to just happen and expect that everybody would believe and that everything would turn out right.

I am not in a position to really say the movie "Wag the Dog" is *BAD*. However, I wouldn't recommend my friends to watch it. J
