PTC Minutes
Sept 5, 2002
3:33 PM meeting to order by Kim HHaight.
Veronica read minutes.
Denise made
corrections (on PTC minutes)
Minutes approved, Medlyn motioned/Merrill seconded.
Tammy read treasurers report (look at Karen's sheet).
Treasures report, Medlyn motioned/Denise
second-approved.
Introduction of board members and parents.
New business
Denise Wasley, co-volunteer coorddinator spoke about parent volunteers
for the
classes
and to participate in PTC meetings as well, also discussion in regards to news
reports
to Marianne McKnight.
Merrill supported homeroom parentt rep idea.
Denise also mentioned sub/aides arre needed, also thanked Jamie Yokom for
luncheon
and
Jessica for 1st. book fair, great jobs!
· Purpose of the PTC:
1.
Support the school and to help immprove our school.
2.
Bring the community together (momms, teachers, students, and
volunteers).
Sideline: send note home in regardds to traffic pattern for our school
regarding pick up,
drop off, and parking.
Snack shack, Tammy suggested snackk shack profits go towards sport
programs, such
as uniforms. Tammy will run
snack shack for girl's basketball; we will need
volunteers for other games.
1. Motion, Tammy would like to take $250.00 to begin snack shack (for girls basketball), Merrill seconded
"Kudos" to Patty for providing sport schedule for the month.
Walk-A-Thon, Veronica posed specific questions:
1.
Date: October 4th.
2.
Theme: Celebrate America.
3.
Token: Dog Tags.
4.
Fire Dept: Call for the Engines, lower grades 9-11 am, upper grades
l-3pm.
5.
Popsicle's: Need to purchase for ccompleted lap cards, order form, 400
missile
pops, Crystal, Jessica motioned $200.00 for Popsicle's and decorations, Billie
Miller seconded-all approved.
Fall bingo night, November 1>st Friday, Denise suggested
silent auction baskets and
perhaps
only 2 big raffles like Tooth mans dinner and golf certificate. Bingo prizes
and
baked goods.
Kim motioned, Jamie seconded discuussion-approved, small raffle, basket
silent
auction,
free popcorn and drinks, and bingo.
Merrill nominated Katie to be in ccharge of the silent auction baskets,
homeroom
parent reps in charge of
baskets. Veronica seconded-approved.
Denise motioned raffles will be &"put your tickets in the items you
want" can. Regular
silent auction, Medlyn seconded-approved.
· Dinner discussion for bingo night tabled until October meeting.
Fund raising options
scrip programs discussion by Kim Haight and Monica.
Jessica motioned for Monica to puut together a package/presentation for October meeting,
Veronica seconded/discussion "table talk".

Merrill will buy locks for students who can't buy locks.
Tami L. will be in charge of T-shirts.
