Steel wool fireworks...
Shutter Speed: Slow (over 1 second)
Aperture size: Approx. f/8
Lens used: Canon 50mm f/1.8 MKII
Description: This was a home made steel wool firework that I took a
picture of. My camera was set to bulb exposure at around f/8. The final
result was darkened but a larger f number would have been a more effective
way to do this... |

AirShow Flags...
Shutter Speed: Fast
Aperture size: Approx. f/16
Lens used: Canon 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 NON USM
Description: This was a pair of parachutists coming down from the sky
in the international air show in Melbourne. I took this picture at exactly
the right time (by chance) at about 200mm. The composition of them came
out pretty good... |

Bee on daisy...
Shutter Speed: Fast (Approx. 1/250 sec)
Aperture size: Unknown
Lens used: Canon 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 NON USM
Description: This is another photograph I took with my home made focal
reducer with the lens set to about 150mm and using manual focus. This
is really tricky as focus goes in and out and you have to hope for the
best... |

Reflection on lake...
Shutter Speed: Relatively Fast
Aperture size: Approx. f/3.5
Lens used: Canon 50mm f/1.8 MKII
Description: This is just a shot I took when I was rushing. If I can
remember right I think it was through barbed wire but I could be wrong.
The final result was under exposed (darkened) dramatically to add
effect... |

Leaf falling...
Shutter Speed: Very Fast
Aperture size: Approx. f/2
Lens used: Canon 50mm f/1.8 MKII
Description: I took this photograph just as an experiment. All I did
was put the leaf behind a clear piece of glass and hold it in front of the
lens with my focal reducer attached. This can be very tricky to get it in
focus though but the final result came out pretty good... |

Butterfly...
Shutter Speed: Fast
Aperture size: Approx. f/8
Lens used: Canon 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 NON USM
Description: This is a shot I took with the focal reducer attached and
zoomed into 200mm. It was quite hard to get the butterfly into focus as it
kept moving. There was a little camera movement that made the photograph
slightly out of focus... |
