Taking photographs when using your new SLR can be something to get used
to. There are two steps when taking your photographs...
Step 1...
Hold the shutter button half way down to lock the focus and exposure on
the camera. Depending on which camera and lens you are using, this could
take between a fraction of a second to a few seconds. You will usually
know because it will either beep or show something on the internal screen.
Tip: Practice pressing the shutter half down
when the camera is off...
Steps 2...
Once the exposure and focus are locked completely press the shutter
button.
Tip: If you are just beginning to learn how
to use your camera, look at the shutter speed and aperture the camera is
choosing for you on the screen...
