Problem With My LC Audio Amplifier Page.
Before shipping I had gluded the coil to the top of a small electrolitic capacitor with silicone glue, but UPS must have been a little ruff with the box.  This I consider a design flaw, as there should be a clip on the  coil so it won't distroy itself in shpping.  The modules come tightly packed in bubble rap, but you can't have bubble rap on them after you have an operational amplifier
This amplifier went up in smoke while in the hands of a friend, an audio reviewer.  I think the coils core broke in shipping which initially caused the problem.
As you can see in the photo below I think the problem was a direct result of the output coil physically breaking.  This probably put the circuit out of spec and caused a problem.
Below:  In this photo you can see where I think the large resistor came loose from the PCB, because the heat melted the solder.
Below: I carefully flaked away the burnt/charded pieces of PCB to reveal the layers of the PCB that must have gotten overloaded.
Below: You can see in this photo that the large resistor got very hot, and one leg of it came unsoldered because of the intense heat.  Also notice the bubble on the diode just to the right of the largest Blackgate capacitor, it got very hot as well.
