Once again the famous geordie duo we all know and love had taken Saturday nights and made it so no-one wanted (or dared) to leave their screens! :)
That's right! Anyone who had the nerve to #dun dun duuun# "GO OUT!!!!!" were soon found out!! Ant and Dec secretly planted a camera and a screen in a particular place, eg. a cinema, a gym, a wedding reception!!! And when the time came.....they popped up on the screen and gave them the shock of their lives!! And as if telling them off wasn't enough, they even offered........a bribe! Everyone had to run all the way back to their houses in the hope that someone (eg. Yoda) will be standing outside with a case full of cash! But if they didn't make it back by the end of the show, that person would be gone and you would never have known he was there! Awww...the looks on some of those faces when they arrived and the person was at someone elses house!
But all that wasn't the main part of the show! On top of other mini games like 'Make Ant laugh' and 'Banged up with Beadle' and sketches including Ant pushing Gareth Gates out of a building, (a classic one) the object of the show was that someone from the audience has a chance of winning EVERYTHING advertised in an ad-break randomly chosen over the last 7 days. *ooooooooooo*
The routine went something like this;
The screen doors opened, revealing a huge computer with every persons name in the audience. Dec did the honours of saying the magic words; "computer..........STOP!!!" and a name was chosen just like that! That person jumped out of their seat, rejoicing at the fact that their name was picked, and was led backstage by an attractive assistant. This happened 2 more times at different parts of the show, and at the end, all the contestants played 'What product am I?' and the one left got a chance to play for the ads! They had to answer as many questions as they could in the time limit and was given the choice to gamble all that they had already won for a chance to win EVERYTHING! This could include 3 cars, 2 grand in the bank, and of course.........loo roll. (One person did manage to win the lot on the final show)
And there you have it!
Of course not everything goes according to plan.....as this is LIVE tv. Some funny things have taken place. Like for instance when Ant and Dec leap onto the stage and Dec crashes right into Ant and nearly topples over (which he seems to do every week!) Or when they pick someone out in the audience and they haven't turned up......Or one thing that went completly pear-shaped was when the screen doors broke and got stuck!! Ant tried to lighten things up and ran over and tried to pull open the doors himself, which didn't work and put Dec in hysterics! Then the audince cheered when the stage crew tried to pull it open and failed too! (All that time Ant and Dec were doing things like opening their coats to try and hide it etc). Luckily the doors were see-through so you could still read the sceen.
Well I'm sure that's enough to give you a good idea on how great the show was. (Too bad the series only lasted 6 weeks though). Remember;
"Don't just watch the adverts.......WIN THEM!!!!!"
