He e-mailed this note on that very same day,
Addressed to the President, U S of A:

Dear Mr. President,
                          I'd like to state,
I really admire you and think you are great.
But something has bothered me now for some time,
I can't seem to get that thing out of my mind.

They say dogs are 'dumb',
                        but that seems rather cruel,
It  wouldn't be so if all dogs went to school.
We have equal rights for that and for this,
But dog's rights, it seems have been all but dismissed.

I have some ideas and thoughts I can share,
If you have a big heart and you really do care.
He signed the note "Harry", then turned out the light,
He sprang into bed and he dreamt through the night.

He dreamed of a land where all dogs could read books...
A land that was blind to their hairy dog looks.
He saw in his dream a school door open wide,
And he and his dog friends were walking inside.

Then all of a sudden it slammed in his face,
A sign said, "NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS PLACE!!!"

Rover woke with a start as he fell out of bed,
He yawned and he stretched and he scratched his dog head.
He wondered if anyone really did care.
When he checked his computer, a message was there...
