Title: Small Steps
Felix - Overall, not a bad book. I was a bit disappointed that Stanley Yelnats wasn't even mentioned in this book, as he was the main character in Holes before this one. I liked Stanley's character and his story of Camp Green Lake. The main characters in Small Steps are Armpit and X-Ray, fellow Camp Green Lake inmates. The story starts a few years later, when they left CGL, they are now in their late teens and live near Texas. One day when Armpit is at work, X-Ray comes by and asks him if he wants to buy some Kaira DeLeon tickets and then sell them for more than they got them. It's a risky buisness, but X-Ray is determined. Armpit has no idea that soon he will become friends with the pop star Kaira, get in trouble with the police, nearly loses his best friend and have trouble with a gang led by someone called Felix! Louis Sacher is a great American storyteller and could become quite popular.
