Our Review: Felix - Not a bad book but was good in some places. I liked it how Malorie made each chapter about one of the main characters and then again on another character all the way through the book. I like that because you get to read their feelings and what they think. The book is quite racist and the people all have different feelings towards each other. The main characters are Sephy and Callum. Callum is a nought (which means he's white) and Sephy is a cross (which means she's black). They both love each other but each others parents have different veiws on wheather they should see each other as they have different coulded skin. The book itself was quite long and I think it should've been shorter. Not one of my favourite books. John-Paul - Amazing book. Lots of information and good description. Possibly aimed at older readers but I still found it great. The story line seems very real. Bit of a long book but didn't take long for me to read it. I don't think it was very racist, but just reflects how society used to be Seb - I'm not quite sure what to say, yes it's a good book but it has a run up that almost brings it coming down in flames. Very realistic and reflects what society used to be in many ways. The people are very racist towards each other. It leaves you hanging sometimes but a must read. Final Score

Brilliant book. Tim Bowler won the Carnegie Medal for this and deserved it too. There was lots of imagination and description for the characters and storyline was perfect. I thought it was very surprising at the end when you find out more of the River Boy and who he is inside. The print was a bit small for me and it took me a while to get into it, but apart from that the book was great. a good read for anyone who likes swimming and ghosts.

Brilliant book, can get a bit lovey dovey sometimes although that does improve the story in some ways. Probably intended for older readers - possibly 14-16 years, although I found it ok. You will need to read Noughts and Crosses before this one as you will not understand otherwise.

Brilliant,
gladly not as lovey dovey as the first two books. It really helps to explain
how Callum dying and how Callie Rose being born has effected Sephy, Meggie,
Jasmine and Callie's lives and how they finally understand each others. Sadly
one or two people get killed but I won't tell you who. I think that to finish
it off there should be another book which would shows that the family of
noughts and crosses can work together and that overcome whatever the rest of
the society throw at them.
