Right-On Viewer is a combination image viewer and crude text editor.
Any *.gif, *.jpg, or *.bmp picture file on your hard drive can be
used as a background to your typing. The only editing tool
available is the backspace key. The text can be copied to the
clipboard and pasted into a real word processor for later editing.

Requirements:
Win95 or Win98. It probably works with NT4 as well.
The Visual Basic 5 Runtime files. Look for the file Msvbvm50.dll in the
Windows\System directory.

Installation:
Unzip into a directory. There's no setup program. Do not unzip letters.zip.
Roll your own shortcut and put it wherever.

How to use:
Running the program "RightOn.exe" causes a dialog box to open.
Clicking the "Background picture..." button allows you to choose a picture file.
It can be tiled or centered on the screen by clicking the appropriate bullet.
The list box contains the names of the available alphabets used to display
the letters over the picture. Select one.
The Tinks checkbox is for sound effects.
Click the Start button and wait a moment as the picture loads, then start typing.
Please be patient for the picture to appear. Extra clicking will mess the background.
F6 or a left mouse click will clear text from the screen. The text is retained
for later retrieval.
F5 will cycle through all the picture files in the directory in which the
original picture is stored.
F4 will cycle through the pictures in the opposite direction.
F3 shows the current time.
The backspace key works only on the text appearing on screen.
A temporary file saves the text every 500 keystrokes or when the left mouse
button is clicked to clear the screen. If your computer should crash for some
reason, look in the Right-On directory for a file name that begins with a "~"
followed by a long number. Open this in a text editor and most of your work
should be there.
The "Esc" key will close the picture and return you to the dialog box.
The "Move to Clipboard" button does what it says to the text you typed. Be sure
to paste it wherever text can be pasted before moving more text to the clipboard.
"Append to Clipboard" adds text to the clipboard.
When you close Right-On Viewer, you are asked if you want to save your work.
Answering "Yes" will pop up the Save As dialog. All the text that you
typed since first opening Right-On will be saved to a file. Answering "No" will
delete the temporary file that stored your keystrokes.

If, while the picture is filling the screen, you press alt+tab or
alt+ctrl+delete, the picture will remain but pressing keys will not do anything.
In this case, left click with the mouse (even though the pointer is not showing)
to regain focus. The keys should then work.
