Commentary:
The Purpose Driven Life
by Rick Warren
Welcome to your 40 day journey. I would like to urge you not to get too caught up in having to finish the book in 40 days. Depending on your schedule and level of spiritual maturity it could take you a bit longer. It is more important that it take you at least 40 days to finish and that you complete the book. I say this because I would hate for you to fall behind a few days and decide not to finish because you did not complete the book in 40 days. Also, remember that God rarely works on our time schedule.

The main goal of this journey is to allow God to speak and reveal to you, "His purpose for your life." Please take the time to reflect on the daily lessons and the questions that are being asked. You may need to ask others how they think you would answer. Also, try to keep a daily journal of your progression through the lessons. You will have a hard time in a few months remembering the revelations God gives you if they are not written down.

I have heard alot of pros and cons for this book. I am here only to tell you how it worked for me. Remember that this is only a book written by a man. With that said, it is also a tool that God's can use to enlighten you to His plan. It is clear that He is choosing to just that. There are thousands of people whose lives have been changed by reading this book.

I can tell you that my life was already being changed when I read this book. The process of going through each day's lesson allowed me to focus in on my purpose.

God Bless!
Acts 17:27 says, "The Lord's purpose in all of this was that the nations should seek after Him and perhaps they might reach out and find Him, though He is not far from anyone of us."
