GENDER STEREOTYPING: Male: Active, brave, problem solver, tall. Female Passive, weak, short, illogical.

STEREOTYPES OF ASIAN AMERICANS. MALE Bowing, short, bucktoothed and squinty-eyed, expert in martial arts, super student. Female Sweet, well-behaved girl, sexy, sweet china doll, overbearing, old-fashioned grandmother.

STEREOTYPES OF AFRICAN AMERICANS. MALE Athletic, smooth talking con man, rough, dangerous criminal, the loudly dressed, happy-go-lucky buffoon. Female The big bosomed mammy loyal to whites, big bossy mother or maid, the sexy temptress, the tragic mulatto.

STEREOTYPES OF LATINOS. MALE Migrant worker, Ignorant, cheerful, lazy peon, teenage gang member. FEMALE Hard working, poor, submissive, self-sacrificing religious mother of many, sexy, loud fiery, young woman, undereducated, submissive, nice girl with marriage as a life goal.

STEREOTYPES OF NATIVE AMERICANS. MALE Drunken, mean thief, wise old chief, evil medicine man, unemployed loafers. WOMAN Heavyset, workhorse squaw, Indian Princess.

STEREOTYPES OF DIFFERLY ABLED PEOPLE. MALE. Village idiot, Ugly hunchback, insane criminal, hard of hearing crank, one-eyed pirate. WOMAN Blind witch, evil witch with a cane, self-pitying whiner.
